You know, when they mentioned there'd be an orange variant repaint/remold/whatever of the Jeep mold that would be called RollBar there was a lot of discussion of 'who the heck is RollBar'

 

I know it was mentioned that some post season 3 character had that name. Everyone seemed to have a vague '...oh yeah, wasn't that....I can't recall now.'

 

 

Then today it hit me. *smack* DUH!

 

It's the name they gave Swindle when the Bruticus Gang got their names changed in RID for the whole Ruination bit. So essentially it's the same guy.

 

 

They should'a gone with Brown/Tan and called him Outback.

Should just went with Trailbreaker and called it a day........unless the Ram repaint is ole Traily

Rollbar is also the name of the green jeep in the Throttlebots group.

 

Along with Chase, Freeway, Searchlight, wideload, and goldbug.

They don't own the rights to the name.  Otherwise Universe Spychanger Ironhide and Cybertron Overhaul to name a couple would have been named Trailbreaker.

...and for the umpteenth time, Trailbreaker wasn't a Jeep, he was a Truck. TB as a Jeep Alt doesn't make the sense that Hound and Swindle do.

 

Yeah, the Ram would make a great TB with the right colour and head. It's even vaguely reminiscent of the transformation of the G1.

 

Outback and Brawn were Jeeps too, so they'd make sense. Outback especially. Brawn I'd still rather see as a Hummer, since that's kind of a Jeep that seriously pumped up, visually.

 

Still, that just stuck me today- Rollbar. Swindle. Duh.

 

So.... I wonder if this'll be the 'bot or the 'con.

It's Binaltech, it doesn't have to be the same vehicle.

If it can be considered a trail breaking type vehicle, it's good enough.

I'm more keen on the 'Don't repaint, make an F250 mold for TB and a repaint for Hoist.'

 

 

You know, now that I've thought of it, Outback sounds even better than he did before. Light Tan-ish green, different head, Hound's mold but Swindle's wheels and tires. Yeah....

Actually they have the name now. They almost called Cybertron Overhaul Trailbreaker.
