BUYING TF TOYS @ WHERE

Recommended Posts

Well, I think I was probably 5 or 6 when I received my first TF. To be honest, I have no idea why I was given it.

Might have been my birthday...

At any rate, it was a Silverstrek... man when the reissue came out it brought back fond memories of my obsession for those figures as a child.

However, I still haven't picked up many reissues; only Hot Rod, Powermaster Prime, and Tracks.

1984, I was sixteen and worked at KB Toys - with a 25% employee discount.

I still have all of those old figures, and since I wasn't a little kid, they never got played with, just transformed every now and then. I still have the instructions and the specs cut from the backs of the boxes. Now I wish I had just kept the entire box intact (the funny thing is I saved most of the inserts from inside the boxes for storing the figures). That's why I'm not too excited about the reissues, I already have most of them (although I did buy a couple during the recent TRU sale for some customization experiments).

Fell out of fandom for a while and didn't get any of the 'Masters or G2. I watched the Beast Wars/Machines shows, but wasn't very interested in the toys (probably because I prefer my robots to turn into machines - but I did pick up a few Vehicons). I never watched RID, but bought some of the bigger RID Autobots, but didn't care for the Spychangers (I have a pet peeve about them not having two legs) or Decepticons (again, not into beast modes).

I only became seriously reinterested with Armada, when both the good guys and bad guys were proper robots in disguise as machines.

My first TF's? Way back in 84' (I was 8 btw) the first two I owned were Cliff Jumper and Hound.
