They just are not as fierce as your red or silver or black or even purple...

 

How do they keep clean in the first place?  My Camaro is white, I spent 3 hrs washing it last weekend and its dirty first time I took it out.

Turns out wearing compleely black radiates the suns rays better, thereby keeping you cooler.

Most transformers are not white so I really don't have a problem with the ones that are. Besides it makes sense for characters like Ratchet, First Aid, and Red alert They're emergency vehicles and should be painted accordingly. Not sure why Ultra Magnus wound up with white other than it's a good contrast to Primes red and works well with the colouring scheme of the red and blue trailer.

Yea, having Ultra Magnus in a coloring book it pretty useless.

White reduces the rate at which you heat up when in the sunlight.  Black absorbs around three times more energy from the sun; however, it radiates absorbed heat quicker once in the shade.

 

If you're going to be standing in full sun and not going back into the shade, white is better.

 

However, if you happen to be wearing black Bedouin/Arab robes, the black causes convection currents to occur which cools the skin - but with regular Western dress these currents can't form.
