Hi everyone ! I joined your forum today for some Transformers help. My boyfriend loves Transformers, and I'd really like to get him a special one for this coming Holiday Season. I am not at a complete loss as to what he wants but I'm not really sure what is rare or cool or anything like that. I know he said that he wanted a Galvatron figure at one point. I was also looking at the Masterpiece series. I'd like to try and get him the best that I can. However, I don't have much money and was looking to spend no more than $250.00 US. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Anyway, a good starting point would be to get a list of the Transformers he's got. Or a photo of his collection, this way we could see what he's got and maybe what would be good suggestions.

I'm gonna have a think & knock up a list of what are (in my opinion) the best Transformers out there.

for less than your price you can get both masterpiece 1&2  with no difficulties..

 

galvatron is more problematic, there's one galvatron in each series, perhaps he's talking aobut the recent G1 reissue ?

yea plus alternators and binaltech are the cool favorites at least everyone i know

Thanks for replying ^_^ I'm actually trying to surprise him. So I don't really have photos or really know what he has. I do think I'm more inclined to get hims something from G1. I almost bought the "KING EXKIZER TRANSFORMER" outright, until I decided to look it up. I read in your forum that King Exkizer wasn't really apart of the series. I'd hate to get him something that he didn't even know about. I'm looking on ebay and am watching a few items. Can anyone tell me if they are any good ? The photos are below.

the masterpiece you spotted is sold with the non-officialy trailer... without you can find it for 100~150$

 

concerning galvatron, there is actually a reissue, really less expensive, it's the same toy, but with color who fits more the old cartoon

The Galvatron is being re-issued soon so I'd wait out to get it cheaper, although I don't think it'll be out before Xmas.

The Fire Galvatron is something I don't know anything about. It doesn't look like something I'd like though as I think it's a PVC figure.

The 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime is cool, but the trailer doesn't transform. I'd try to get the robot seperately for less.
