A few nifty knockoffs

Picked up a Defensor and Superion giftset at a local dollar store for only 5 bucks a piece. Seem to be put together pretty well, but are colored different and have different decals from the Transformers. Also had a strange dinosaur and insect gift set, but nothing like our Dinobots & Insecticons so passed on it. It was a well spent 10 dollars.

If you plan on opening these, Superion is like plastic crap. I haven't had problems with my Defensor of the same make.. The Devastator version is also fairly well done in KO terms.

For some reason, the G1 combiners seem to be some of the most common KOs.  Superion, Bruticus, Defensor, Devastator are the most common.

I've yet to see a mainstream, full Computron or Menasor KO set though.  I did see a set with two Technobots and the rest (including Motormaster) of Menasor... that one was weird.

the quick-change line is the main group of toys that produces these ko's. they have been repackaged a billion times and released under several lines, some of these lines also included Hot Wheel and Matchbox ko's as well. Overall, i buy these whenever i can for background filler. You can never go wrong with a $5 price tag.

"These pictures are great, but they could use more blurry."

I personally have yet to see full Computron and Menasor.. I think they don't come that way.. I know there's an Abonimus set out there someplace. I saw it once. I didn't touch it though.. I got the real thing back home someplace.

yeah I made the mistakes of getting these a while back..... plastic's worse than it looks in the bubble boxes.
