:wtf

My wife thinks us TF collectors are dorks, thats fine by me.  Then she asked me if I told my coworker that the TF's are worth money... I gave her a blank stare... Then I proceeded to tell her that I could have paid a lot money for all of them, she was like whatever...

I don't understand how they don't get it... maybe if it was free bras or pocketbooks or shoes or something...(not knockin women, just the ones that don't get it).

You don't need to understand a TF collector to understand everybody has something they like to collect (a neighbor of mine? elephant figurines, in porcelain, crystal, etc.), and to ask a question like that (did you tell them they were worth money?) is like  :wtf

never got any toys from my coworkers...

but last year at our staff party they did change it to a late bday party for me and made me this...

it was uber cool

My coworkers are pretty cool about it. I get called a nerd a lot, but it's kind of like calling the kettle black. My Manager has the most massive collection of Star Wars stuff you have ever seen. His boss collects G.I. Joe stuff. One of my shift managers is a huge reptile nerd, and has a massive collecion of Magic cards, a lot of them worth quite a bit of money, and one of my fellow drivers is really big into computers. Another fellow driver is in his forties and plays video games.

After 8 years of working, I finally have found a place to call home! :thumb

Now if only I could get my boss's TFs out of his hands, but he wants to trade, and I have ZIP Star Wars stuff.  :grr

As for women and their not understanding, that kind of crap makes me really angry. They spend a fortune on primping, expect us to pay a fortune for them to have a good time, get mad at us and dump us if we don't give them the right crap, and generally make our lives a living hell. I don't take it from them when they start berating me for my collection. I lost a lot of valuable pieces because I bought into that whole, "you're too old for toys" line.

That said, I'd love to find a woman who actually understood and even got into it with me. But I'm not going to take that superior attitude.

I think its a mob ploy. an eye for a eye. Yur coworker is prob gonna make you knock off his/her spouse or something for that lot of TF's ........course thats my overbearing imagination again.

For a haul like that, I'll do the hit.

Is it still a crime to try and hire someone to kill someone else if you are paying them with Transformers? Ofcourse if I find out that any of them are knock-offs... BAM!

My co-workers are pretty cool about it.  They all have vague memories of the show from back in the 80's.  I'm one of the younger guys there.  More often, I'm teased for being horrible with women...The mistakes I've made, and that type of thing.  I can't complain.

Everyone at my office knows my TF hobby... they can't miss it.  But no one ever gives me free stuff :(

One of my co-workers however did taunt me with an original complete Megatron w/box, bringing it in to give to me, but then decided he was gonna keep it :tfmad

That makes wonder if there's at least one "TF guy" in every company/school/organization... in the U.S. Kinda like a member of Fight Club everywhere.  :slap

I work pt at this bookstore after my teaching job...and my manager and I would spent hours talking about Transformers and Gundams and never get any work done. At the same time, I'm conscious about it during our conversation but never says anything about "let's get back to work."
