A Mudflap Question/Complaint

Recommended Posts

Not having Galaxy Force Demolishor, I don't really have a standard for comparison, but I just recently bought Cybertron Mudflap, and I must say, it has quite a few fatal flaws.  Firstly, there's the saw.  I think this has been discussed before, but the bendy saw quite frankly sucks.  It doesn't stay up, and it curves slightly downward--far from menacing.  Likewise, the spring on his gun also sucks, and it doesn't even hold itself up/flush to his forearm in robot mode.  Also, the feet suck.  I don't know how Demolishor is, but Mudflap's feet have no tension whatsoever, and the slightest tap on the top of his feet bends them backward.  My last two real gripes: The neck--how crappy is his neck?  I mean, for a head that is clearly supposed to be flush with the top of his torso, having head that sits about an 1/8th of an inch off of his torso sucks.  Lastly, I think the wing things on his back could definitely be more taught as well.

I don't know if all of these complaints are unique to my Mudflap or not, and for those of you who own Demolishor, is the grass greener on the Japanese side?  Just curious to see what people have encountered.

My Mudflap is top-tier.

No problems at all.

Yeah, same here. I quite happy with my Mudflap. No problems here.

Mine also isn't loose. Return him.

If this pic bothers you - then go get the GF version. http://tfkenkon.com/g/?mode=view&album=Col...ze=1000&start=0

:)

I like Mudflap. But not enough to shell out for the Demolishor. For fixing the saw try running it under hot water, straighten it, then hit it with cold water. Or, assuming it's not bent sideways, you could leave it deployed and let gravity do the work. After a few days to a week it should be straighter.

I hate clown feet so I transform mine like this:

I have Demolisher. No bendy saw, it's perfectly straight, no flaws here. Feet are tight and don't spin around. The floppy gun is just a design flaw.

My Mudflap has the same issues as the 1st post. The right arm gun dangles after sprung out. The saw has to be forced to be straightly aligned with the pole it pops out of. It doesn't bend to the sides but the where the hook is, it stops short of being straight forward. the feet dangle when not on a flat surface. The head is the head to me.

huh. i have the same problems as the first post, but i still really liked him.

Got Mudflap, no problems here, IMO it's a must have figure

Your post sums up my Mudflap to a "T".  I may try that for my Mudflap's blade though.  I hadn't thought of that.  Thnx WRX-78.

As for the gun, meh.  I really don't care that much.  I think it was meant more for a vehicle mode key feature than robot mode.  Though I am wondering why he didn't come with those twin pistols that he has in the show.

I had thought of using my RiD Hightower's pistol, but two problems:

1-Too small as far as scale is concerned

2-It fits in his hand, but it's loose.
