I still hold out a vain hope for a Masterpiece Hot Rod/imus Prime........... *sigh*

Either that or Galvatron, but I think that's a lot less likely.

As much as I hate Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod, I'd buy a Masterpiece Rodimus with a quickness.

Though, I'd be much happier with a Masterpiece Megatron. :thumb

Movie Hot Rod/imus will always be my favorite g1 character

He's up there for me.... but I recently watched TF:TM again and just had to cringe at like 50% of the stuff he said and did (not the least of which was that ill-advised dancing scene with the Junkions). But once he gets on that Quintesson ship, it's pure PWNage.

BTW Movie Galvatron >>>>>>>>>>>>> anyone else ever of all time

the dance scene was completely pointless. the only thing i could spot of worth in it is that it has a bit of accidental forshadowing. Hot Rod, destined leader of the autobots, dances with the leader of the Junkions....

most of what hot rod says in the movie doesn't bug me. it's not like.... as pwnage as "This is the end of the road galvatrooooooooon.", but it don't make me cringe.

Edit: Him saying autobots transform and roll out still sends shivers up my spine.... :redface i am that geeky. :( SAVE ME

Ewww...Rodimus stealing Optimus' line was weak.  He sounded like a punk trying to command the Autobots to roll out. :tdown

folks stealing his Roll out line is so routine now. When Optimal said though, My hair stood on end.

I TOTALLY agree about Rodimus Prime's toy. There was no reason at all why they couldn't have given him some leg articulation (at least), because they don't do anything in Winnebago mode.

Reflecting back on all this, I realize that perhaps I liked Rodimus Prime b/c I identified with his confusion, frustration, and (honestly) moodiness. He wasn't quite the born leader that Optimus was, and I liked that. I guess that's the difference between me and some of the younger G1 fans here -- I'd already hit puberty by the time I started watching the show. :tflaugh

I liekd Rodimus better and I was four. >.>

Yeah, well you were telling people to GFYWAK at 18, so you probably had an earlier start on all that. ;)

BTW toy Rodimus wasn't nearly as large as toy Galvatron.

Galvatron is freaking huge. I just got a vintage one in a lot of toys from Ebay. The toy I would guess is roughly C6/C7. It's in decent shape, but the stickers look like absolute hell. If you stppd Rodimus behind Galvatron his head would only reach a little past his midsection. Standing next to Energon Megatron Galvatron is actually several inches taller. Imagine that. :lol

If the cartoon was toy accurate Rodimus prime would literally get his assed kicked everytime. The only thing he has over galvatron is a longer gun. :tflaugh
