is yur "heavenly" matrix also the oracle? The "leadership" matrix could also be only a portion of a bigger power.

The Oracle is an interface (think a terminal computer) to Vector Sigma (think a mainframe.) I am not sure what to think of the Matrix itself. It is unlikely that the Quintessons created it, and also unlikely that it is a unique object in all of the Universe. Not counting the Dead Matrix of course.

Rhinox states that "Prime's spark has the matrix with it."

Just because Rhinox says something, doesn't mean he hasn't been fooled or believes in incorrect information.

Just because comic writers for the convention picked up the idea doesn't make it official.

You are right. The Hasbro name makes it official. <--- coming from Hasbro themselves.

First off, it's "canonical". And secondly, you're the one who is disregarding Beast Wars & Beast Machines canon. The Swarm are NOT The Vok. Prime didn't have the Matrix hidden in his chest in Beast Wars, as he did not have it yet.

And please, don't bring ""BWJ"" into this, as it has no ties to American fiction.

Optimsu Prime got the Matrix in War Dawn, please inform me what happened to it? I am also curious as to what in show events conflict with the orgin of the Vok as presented b y 3H.

That comic you posted shows NOTHING about the Vok being the Swarm. They make a reference to "swarming" but that doesn't mean anything.

:rofl  :rofl  :rofl

Sorry but I had no idea people actually took continuity, and mythos so damned serious.

One of the memories I have of the Allspark were partaking in mass continuity debates. Especially when Beast Machines was still on TV. It was insane!

Yea your right, the Vok must have been some other swarming mass of primal hunger that got purified by the matrix

Again on topic. One idea or belief to this whole continuity powwow I still don't get is the reasoning behind the empty matrix introduced in Beastwars. Some of you say that the only reason the container is empty is because Prime expelled it's contents on the hate plague years ago. From what I understand Beastwars originally takes place in the future but has the future decendants of the Autobots/Decepticons now Maximal/Predicons going to the past. Prehistoric earth as we eventially learn. This would logically mean nothing in G1 continuity would've happened past the emergency crash landing on earth. Unless Prime is still a full blown rookie at this point in time which I sincerely doubt the Matrix container should be full of the wisdom passed down fom all those before. The only time the matrix is ever opened is in the battle with Unicron and that's many years to come.

And how do you know there isn't? Because there isn't always 1 answer. But if you want to believe that the use of the word "swarming" must only mean they were "the Swarm" (from G2, not unlike Marvel Comics Spider-Man villian... mets your description... eh?) in your "there is only one God in Heaven" idea of things, that's all up to you, but I won't believe it until it is specifically stated somewhere. I don't take continuity for granted, and anything not specifically stated in whichever canon the item appears in, can only be solved in fanfic, and shouldn't be peddled as actual fact.

this pretty much sums up my opinion on all continuity.  if it isn't addressed in the medium being discussed, the viewer/reader can believe whatever he chooses.
