Any one notice the flaw in MP 1 and 2?

Recommended Posts

Speed holes. A car hole is a garage. :)

It's not a problem with the mold. It's intentionally like that.

You'd actually lose definition/details with repeated uses of a mold. That and the constant stress will degrade the mold so the eventual part will be 'off'. Then they have to create new tooling.

I think its diecast, and there was a slight problem with the mold.  Rather than fix it and spend thousands on a new mold, they just painted over it and said its battle damage.

I'm wondering how the rest of yours are, if the "damage" gets worse, or even better each time they reproduce the cast.

Not just the diecast. If you look even harder you'll notice that he has damage marks on his shoulders and forearms too. This has always looked intentional to me. Any things possible but these marks are precise and totally non distracting, unlike say opening MP 02 and seeing major piant chipping. If they can make BTs with out any weird dents, they can definitely make a MP fig with no dents, IF IF they wanted to. But they didn't cause it was on purpose.

Some topics I'm forced to wonder, "Are they serious, or did they just want something to post?"

Ditto again.  :roll

Yeah, on purpose wear and tear. It makes him even better then a 'pure' one.
