Yeah, if anyone is even remotely a threat in Asia, it's China.  Democracy and economic growth have been good to Japan, it makes no sense for them to make war against America. Also, several Japanese corporations would lose a large market for their products.

China? I don't think so. Their leaders are nowhere near as stupid as Clinton, Blair, Chirac, and Bush put together.

Besides, Democracy is passe. Just like RID. Which is good cheese.

Maybe there's something I'm not seeing in the news report, but how does Japan adding in a very narrowly rewritten amendment to its Constitution become an 'embargo on trade between Japan and the US'?

This is not the 1940s.  Japan and the US are too economically interdependent for new hostilities to arise between the two countries.  Moreover, there's no World War scenario at hand; at least not one in which Japan and the US are at odds with one another.

The claim that Japan might try to recover its 'Bushido Honor' through a war with the US shows a lack of understanding of modern Japanese culture and of international politics/economics.  Moreover, the cavalier attitude that some seem to be taking toward the atrocities of WWII is at best, disturbing.

The premise of this thread is unrealistic and slightly offensive; moreover, it's getting off-topic.  Mods, please move this topic to the general discussion forum or lock it.

On a positive note, at least the next series wouldn't be anime.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That's not positive.

Back on topic, I like to collect Finnish business cards.

Whatever this topic is about...

Japan is a friend of the US.  N.Korea has a wacko (who just happens to have the largest porn collection in the world) threatening to drop a nuke on Japan and just happens to hate the US.

Iran has a nut job at the helm too.  He wants Israel and US wiped off the map. Great...

Iran has ties to Russia... Russia and China are renewing their relationships in joint military exercise.  Russia and China are wanting to put a check on the free world (read/watch the news - may even have to check the small articles in the back of the paper).

China and US have simmering issues over Taiwan...

What does this mean for Transformers?  Japan and the US will have to back to making them.

dumbest topic ever?

dumbest topic ever?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

INDEED :lock

if its dumb why are you reading... anyways.

yeah chinas crazy, thats what we should be worried about. i hate the fact that my transformers are all made there. they need to float their money so they aren't unfairly sucking up all our money.

No two countries with McDonalds have even gone to war.  End of story.

well techincally its not countries or cultures people shuold be afraid of i.e russia china, korea (i think its north) its the dumbnuts in charge.

see i think that when you get into power theres the pressure of not only being a leader but to kinda raise the bar a bit, none want to live in the shadow of there predacessor, so threw there own perspective they try to make there mark on the world, some become so obssesed with this that they lose sight of what it means to be a leader. a leader is supposed to keep there people safe, to protect them from all internal and external threats and help them grow into better people. i doubt any world leader can say thats there agenda now, they have lost site of there peolpe and in turn there people lose faith in them.

btw how big a porn collection we talking anyways ? my friend might rival it  :tfhuh
