*just checked my room*

Nope, not anywhere near the vent. Even then, why wouldn't the others have been effected too?

Because the heat would have been blowing directly on them... it dries up the TMing, for lack of a better way to put it

Yeah... I can't seem to find a source but it makes perfect sence that that is the cause. Maybe I should have protected them with the polish so many years ago, I just thought I wouldn't have to worry about it.

As a secondary question, does the same thing happen with the chrome on say, the Alternator's gun engines, RID toys, etc or do they use a different kind of chroming technology for those?

my rid omega prime's chest has lost his chrome blue color its fading off, i need a universe magnus now

I know the RiDs have the same problem.. Alternators, I'd imagine would as well.. it *feels* like the same kind of plastic, but they're too new for me to have heard any problems with them yet.

It does come off, but when it does, it looks like cool battle damage.

People knew about this when BW was new. Ibelieve they said to stop the flaking, you were supposed to put invisible nailpolish on al the chrome-y parts

Get ready for your manicure Dinobot...
