Is it just me or does he look like Armada Hoist?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

He is Hoist Remolded

so do they both have the same DVD?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes.  It contains Cybertron ep. 3: Hidden.

What a rip-off...

well I suppose for a free DVD, I really can't complain too much.

Nice looking figures, although I am not too keen on repaints from two lines ago. A bit of overkill IMO. Good find though, nice pictures.

Question- why does Longrack have all symbols on his key/box. I've only seen that one Vector Prime and the Minicons so far.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Longrack has a Cybertron based Cyber Key.  Any character that is Cybertron or Planet-X based has the four symbols on their box.    Vector Prime and the majority of the Mini-cons are all Universal, thus they have the same on their box.

Hmmm.... so does this mean there's a chance of finding Blurr and Sideways too??  The hunt is on!!

Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

I found these at a target friday. They had all the new ones except Buzzsaw. I was a little dissapointed they all came with the same dvd. I like the homage to the beast wars neo character of longrack. And the blurr puts the old armada one to shame. It sux they took away his mini con ports though. Runamuck I could have lived without. In pics Ive seen of him he looked black but he's gray. He would look better in black. Snarl looks like crap in package but once I got him out I was surprised at how fun he actually is. He has a really unigue transformation. And Sideways what can I say about him other than best deluxe ever. The best 10.00 I've ever spent.

I think Hasbro was sick when they released these because they actually have a new poster in them. In energon it seemed like a year before they had a new product catalogue

These guys are significant REMOLDS not repaints. Takara made them, and I think Hasbro at first didn't plan on them, then decided they might as well release them. Would you have preferred Hasbro to skip them?

I'm curious, why are repaints/remolds from two lines ago bad? Is that too old or too new? IMO it's better to reuse older molds since it's been longer since they were available on shelves.

Snarl's tail is removable.  I don't know why that matters, but at Botcon when the Hasbro guy said that, everyone went crazy.  They were doing backflips in the isle, random people started kissing, banners and confetti dropped from the rafters, old people were crying... well maybe not that crazy... but still... people clap over the strangest things.

Pics!
