i didn't include armorhide because i haven't seen him in stores in canada. is it only my bad luck?

yes it is your bad luck cause he was released with Brakedown and Undermine :P

 

my vote would go for armorhide, but im gonna say Ransack.  best posibility of the bunch

I say clocker, he's quite big and pretty articulated for a scout, besides being a convertible.

I would have voted clocker if he wasn't painted so cheaply but other than that, he's what an Alternator would be like if shrunk down. Brakedown and Ransack look awsome. Undermine has a cool Beast mode but other than that, he's one of those bots you buy cause they are new and cheap.

I have a personal bias to Ransack...I find him to be the "Divebomb" of the scouts. Fantastic detail, posability...and dead on show accuracy  if you are like X-bob. Just a great figure all around...

Awesome posibility, and a sweet looking alt-mode.  Also, if you use your imagination, he has some pretty cool fan-modes as well.  A must buy.

Out of the ones listed I'd have to say Ransack.

 

Personally though I wouldn't hesitate on buying any of them, i already have Ransack, Overhaul, Scattorshot, Clocker, and hardtop. All easily worth owning with plenty to like about each. Today I was able to find Armourhide, Breakdown, and Undermine. Armourhide's the obvious choice but surprisingly I really like whatt was done with Undermine and Breakdown. 

 

Undermine despite his small size, and two step transformation is both well painted/detailed, and is surprisingly study. Articulation isn't all that great and the cyberkey gimick is mundane ast best but next to Energon Cruelock he's still amazing. My only real and only gripe about this toy is the clip held tail/mele weapon. I would've much prefered a hole/peg system opposed to the slots used to hold it in each hand.

 

Breakdown's actually pretty good too. The transformation is a little more extensive and quality wise he stacks up nicely to the rest. in bot mode Breakdown is tiny but well enough articulated though the arms suffer for the transformation scheme. Also his forearms are horribly misproportioned. The cyberkey gimic is more or less the same. the engine can be removed and the cyberkey activates the blade that swings out. Though not a huge fan of the gimicks this IMO is one of the better ones and looks well suited for Breakdown. Also the head sculpt features some impressive light piping for the eyes.

 

Armourhide the fan favorite alongside Ransack is a bit overated IMO. Alt mode is definitely G1 revisited and I can see how fans coan easily see this as Huffer or Pipes. Transformation is unique and the bot mode is actually very well proportioned and as almost every scout features decent articulation. Cyberkey gimick is probably the most original I've seen in the line thus far. Extra points go to hasbro for not only having the chest plate pop up but also for having each individual missil emerge thus not having each on molded in place. Also the head sculpt is literally the most impressive and well painted I've seen in the line. There's lot to really like about Armourhide however I find he's a bit to plain looking next to any of the other Scout figures. Also he is probably the shortest Scout yet. Both Breakdown and Undermine stand a good head taller. Hardtop is even several inches taller. :tflaugh
