Hasbro said the mold is missing for ravage,

 

pffft yeah just like they said it wouldn't be cost productive to purchase th mold  for him when takara released him as a transmetal figure. some rot about the molds being too expensive WHAT A LOAD OF HORSE Blot

 

they couldnt get their hands on the molds and yet SOMEHOW the heartman brothers got their hands on it to release it as transmetal tigatron.

 

this is and always hass been a rather sore spot for me as a collector so excuse me if i dont trust the Blotters on this matter any farther then i can throw them

THE REASON Ravage was so kibblesome was because he didn't HAVE a beast mode.  At least, not according to the series.  His robot mode WAS his beast mode, and the only thing he turned into was a plain old 20th century casette tape.  Of course, it's impossible to make a toy that resembles BW Ravage in any way and still turns into anything close to a tape, so they just went the easy route and gave him a Cheetor-based panther mode.

Which was kind of silly in the show.  I mean cool that they showed "subspace" still existed, but I mean the tape player was almost out of date in the 80s million and millions of years later you would think he would change into something other then a cassette to use the guns on his ship.  I always liked to pretend he was a "head master " of sorts, and that his ship transformed into the "Real" Ravage, and he was the tape insude controlling it.  But we never saw that happen cause he was taken down in his Prime.  What a great character.

 

I wish there had been a scene where he gets caught looking at a photo of Soundwave with something like "Freinds Forever" on it.  That would seem in line with BW humor. lol

i have every single beast era mold/repaint save for the lucky draws and all of the japanses play sets so quite frankly i'm hoping for as many retooled figures as possable. a retooled ravage with a more show accurate beast head would rock. then again so would a sho accurate entire season 1 cast. .........damn mainframe and there medaling ways!

You guys do know the toy model is made before the show begins right?

 

The only reason why Ravage transformed into an cassette is becuase he was rebuilt. His G1 form was an cassette and all the raw energon was gone from the planet, so there wasnt any need to give him an beast mode and spend money.

 

Even if it did happen, G1 fans would of freak out about it.

Oh I know the reason, I'm just saying. I know trying to turn that into a tape would been next to impossible. I just am not to crazy about his alt form. I almost think they should of made him a non transforming figure.
