WST...BRUTICUS???!! WTF?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the pics!  :thumb  :clap  That's what I wanted to see! Wow! those are certainly small. :eek  Are they as articulated as the normal-sized versions or more like R.I.D.'s Spy Changer versions of Scourge, X-Brawn, Optimus and Magnus?

Can't speak for the little little combiners that Pilgrim_Paladin has, but mine seem to have the same amount of articulation as the originals...but I wouldn't know exactly. I like keeping him combined, so I don't take him down and play with it much.

Aoi

I think it should be a rule that all knockoffs are smaller than the original. :P

well after doing some research...they are based off the KO molds totally..there is a menasor, BUT he uses Nosecone and the bike...but there is superion and abomnus as well.

*perks ears up* Since when was there a micro-sized Abominus?

MICRO COMBINERS (very cool, same size as Sixwing, Sixtrain, etc.  quality is excellent)

Defensor (Japanese colors w/red Hot Spot) MOC $15

Menasor (has 2 Computron figures, just like the larger bootleg) MOC $15

          Superion MOC $15

Sixliner (train combiner with orange head) MOC $10

Sixwing (original Japanese colors, Autobot) MOC $10

There's also out there..

Devestator

Bruticus (or what ever the remake is called)

If I'm not mistaken, the ones that Snarl has are the medium sized versions of these. The KO's come in three sizes: one set that is the same as the originals, one set that is somewhat smaller (the gestalt is the same height as a Micromaster gestalt) and one set that is really small (the gestalt is shorter than G1 Optimus Prime, as shown in this auction for micro Bruticus/Valdigus).

This is further comnplicated by the fact that there are smaller-than-the-originals KOs of the Micromaster gestalts as well.

I've got the micro-sized Devastator on the way; when it arrives, I'll do comparison photos of all three different sizes together.

Between these and the KOs of the G1 Kabaya model kits that have started showing up and the WST Dinobots from Justitoys, it's a really really good time to be a micro Transformer enthusiast.  :clap

Mini Review.

From what I can tell from Devastator, he is a very close copy of the original.  It even came with some guns of the members(but not all), 2 drills and a paired drill.  Some parts don't line well, as expected remolding on top of bootlegging, so a little extra pressure will make them fall apart.  Make sure some superglue is readily available.  He holds himself well combined, though.

Superion's limbs lost most of their arm articulation as they're one solid piece now.  All they can do is reach out to the sides.  Only Silverbolt's gun is included.  When separated Silverbolt's legs do not line up correctly with the body so it takes a little bit of pressure to force the legs to transform into alt mode.  Also the section where the wings of the each limb folds is near paper thin, so they're likely to break apart with a little handling.

Just like Superion, Defensor only comes with Hotspot's Gun.  The chestplate is now one solid piece.  The helicopter(Blades?) has a cylindrical head, as both Hotspot and Silverbolt now feature round holes where the lock joint on the shoulder used to be.  Not sure if his head is supposed to be that way.  The bike(Can't remember the name now) has some significant remolds, as the headlight section no longer rotates.  As per the intructions on the back of the card his legs are pulled from the body to extend them but that's not possible with the mold

So far the only mini-mini combiners I've ever seen are Menasor, Superion, Devastator, Defensor, Sixliner, Landcross, Ruination and sharing the same card type is a robot that turns into a hybrid jet/bird from the Power Rangerish Jetman.

*Edit* Forgot to mention Bruticus mold and correction on Devastator parts

I bought a couple of boxes of beastwars ko's that appear to be in wst size or maybe a little larger.

Anybody seen those before?

Is it packaged like the bootleg normal-sized G1 combiners? It resembles the red-boxed Alts in which toy is blister packed in an open box.

I remember Greattoys used to have those in stock.
