I can't agree. The Alternator version looks much better, imo. Why not add the red in on his arms? The Binaltech version has too much of the same color.

Agrees with AM. The Alt. has a little more colour variation. But you can see a difference in quality between the yellows.

 

 

Anyone know if Sunstreaker has any alterations from Dead End? If not, he'd be the first repaint without any changes which is just plain lazy :tdown

No, there are no alterations from Dead End.

 

Makes sense to b/c Dead End was supposed to be Sunstreaker in the first place. There is no need for HakTak to remold DE into SS, they only needed to recolor him like they did (in fact people would probably be pissed if they had remolded DE into SS).

Well it's still laziness, but in this case it's good business practice to be lazy.  Heck, if Sunstreaker does well then I wouldn't be surprised to see the Swindle redeco pop up for Trailbreaker.

I just thought of something. Every one keeps talking about Streaker not having black stripes. Any one ever hear of reprolables?

 

Also one more better thing about BTA Streaker, it's black when you look through the rear window instead of cheap yellow.

Actually, it WAS lazy for them to release a Sunstreaker with zero physical variation from Dead End, because they based SS on the DE mold instead of the ORIGINAL SS mold, which WAS different from Dead End in that it had a different chest plate with a molded autobot insignia.  It wouldn't have killed them to use SS' original chest mold, but they didn't. 

 

They skimped, and for that I call cheap and LAZY.

No offence here. I'll skip both BTAs and wait for Alternators. I've seen both of them. The paint job is not up to BT standard. BTA Sunstreaker has two tone yellow. Ony the metal part is painted. The plastic parts are molded in yellow and not painted at all. To my opinion, these are the worst paint job in BTs. I don't know whether it has something to do with Takara being taken over by Tomy and has stricter budget.
