BTA Sunstreaker still looks much better. alert is just awesome all around.

I knew they'd use the same lightbar that was used on Prowl.  They're ncie, but I'll buy the Alternator versions.  I think Sunstreaker looks better with the black stripes.

Dangit!  I was all happy with Alt Sunstreaker until I saw him next to his BTA counterpart.  I'll probably still go Alt on this one to save cost, but man does the BTA look way better in bot mode.

 

And I still question why they put the money into modding the alt mode for alert and not swapping the head.  I, like many others, say that Prowl should've gotten the BTA treatment as a WRX and let the Acura mold go to alert since it matches his G1 design much more closely (and probably left room for the proper head too!)

Wow, I had no idea that was an actual car that is used in Japan. I thought it was just something that Takara put together. That actually really makes the Red alert character that much cooler for me.

 

Waiting (impatiently) to order these until after I move in about 3 weeks. I will be getting both of these b/c I like the characters and the figures look pretty damn cool (can't really decide which I like better).

 

I do think that Takara can keep the stupid little figures that come w/ them though. I reallydon't think that they are worth an extra $5.

The Figureiens rock, can I have your's if you don't want them?

Is red alert coming in the US??  If not I'll pick him up, not for the girl or anything..

these are just WOW...and BT Streaker knocks the ALT right off the map.  I will be getting these....oh yes...I will.  Too bad the inflated price because of the stupid lil perverted fanboy pleasers.  I'll prob throw those lil things on eGhey when I get them to see how much someone is willing to pay hahaha.

alert really could have used a head remold(as of now he looks like Silverstreak decided to try a new helmet-style) and I think the little girls are waste of plastic and money(The first four letters of Junko's name sums up my feelings about them nicely).  They're good, but not even-more-inflated prices good.

To be fair the packaged in robot mode and the little figurines are meant to cater to the Japanese market, not us.

 

That said... I'm gonna pimp out those anime Protectobots to the highest bidder first chance I get.
