I saw the TPB yesterday, and passed. I still don't understand why they're using the crew of the axalon on covers.

Most the covers reflected events that took place in that issue, previous issues (#4 cover c), and future issues (#2 cover a and cover b). Bottom line, with the exception of the #1 variants, the axalon crew does not make up the bulk of the covers.

Beast Wars #1: why wouldn't you have Primal and Megs on the covers, they were the main characters. And we do get glimpses of events throughout the series.

cover b and foil version) Megatron

I passed on it b/c I got the issues...(still steamed about the Grim/Mag fight...) but LOVED the sketches in the back, especially Magmatron's Cybertron alt mode(s),,,didn't see if they had Leoconvoy or Bigconvoy's though..

They didnt.

I got the TPB, but only because I didnt want to ruin my individual issues. Ive already read it twice since I bought it yesterday.

still steamed about the Grim/Mag fight

are you steamed that he got beat and that he wasn't in robot mode, cuz that's what I'm pissed about :tfmad

Fortunately, in my interview Furman confirmed we'd see more of him. That's the only IDW book we've seen Grim in. He hinted he may be in Stormbringer too.

not that he got beat persay...b/c Magmatron SEEMED like he could be a badass....but we never got the chance....iand yes, seing them both in bot mode crossing swords would have been epic...kinda like teh cover hinted...but nope, big lizard came in talked some trash...and then got trounced by 3 more lizards...

yeah, the only other time Grim got trounced like that after talking trash was fighting Thunderwing in Marvel US' run and when he fought the Fallen. Thunderwing is forgiveable cuz Grim was energon depleted from teh high gravity. And the Fallen was just way too powerful. But yeah, I was disappointed to see him go down like that, but at least he went down fighting. That's something. I guess. Hope he gets more justice in the next mini.

I loved the dino orgy melee. Of course Grimlock lost, he was outclassed but he went down fighting.

Magmatron: "Are you so committed to your cause or just to stupid to realise when you're beaten?"

Grimlock: "Maybe a bit of both..."

Now that was cool.

my problem with that is welll....that could have been anyone...just didn't "feel" like Grim in that...

A big ol' dinosaur squashing 'cons and talking like an idiot and yelling "Me Grimlock king of beasts!" didn't feel like Grim to you?
