Moan about alternators/binaltech

Agree. Car manufacturers use these releases for marketing purposes.

and it works too.  I wouldn't recognize 3/4 of the alt models before I bought the toys.  Now I spot them all the time.

In all honesty, I'm just happy to see the Alt. line continuing.

Indeed. I don't intend to imply that I'm displeased with the "outside-the-box" choices Hasbro has been making concerning Alt characters.

I'm not either.  The line may've started as G1 redux, but it looks like they might be trying something new at the same time.

I wonder if they'll do a Swerve and give him a new head sculpt.

Rumor has it that Richochet is getting a new head sculpt.

So with three data points for the third use of a mold, two will have new heads and with the exception of Sunstreaker, where remolding the head would have defeated the point, it seems that a new head for the third use may become the norm.

That makes sense to me. I think a third version of a mold would be a much harder sell w/o *something* new.

Bumblebee could be a 2006 Honda Civic Type-R Coupe.

Aston Martin allows Takara to produce a toy robot version of their newest sports car.  One of 2 things happens.

1 they start getting calls from rich celeb’s who can afford such cars as to why their car can't turn into a robot but this toy can.

or

2.  The other car manufacturers like BMW to make fun of them for allowing their car to be taken so lightly that its now a toy for little children to play with, and not big bad fortune 500 names.

3.  Their symbol of excellence reduced to a toy robot with a little or no gun.

4.  Their car's are so RARE to the Japan/US markets no one has a clue what it is and won't buy it (as if, having just recently discovered these Aston Martin cars, they look cool none the less but I wouldn't know one if I tripped over it.  Cool is cool).

I was in walmart and Target yesterday and guess what?!

that model car aisle was full off high priced foreign cars for kids to play with.

Car companies should be honored to have their car made into a robot. Sporting all the noticable kibble. I remember when I brought Grimlock to work last December, people were like ,"Is he the 2005 Mustang?! How they make that toy so fast? Are they even out yet"

1: :wtf you do know 99.99% of people can tell the difference between a toy and the real deal

2: well thier are 1000's of diecast BMW model cars as well as RC cars and such so the only difference will be the whole transforming thing and i dont see that as a bad thing

3: same as above

4: errr vipers and gt40's arnt that common eather. the only REAL gt40 ive seen was at  a FIA GT race at silver stone. IMO i dont think kids care about seeing the real car on thier local roads solong as the toy is cool

Speaking of seeing toy toy, Mirage isn't going to be as small as I thought. I saw a 1:24 scale GT yesterday(DUBS) and it is just as wide as the Mustang and almost as long. A bit flat though.
