Alt Swerve came broken ...

Recommended Posts

As Alternators have become harder and harder to find in retail, I have a few friends scattered about who keep their eyes peeled for me.  A friend of mine from the DC area recently sent me Alt. Swerve for my birthday.  When I opened him and began to transform him, I noticed that the entire missile structure on the passenger side is completely missing.  The body colored tab that the missile is fastened to and the nipple on the door clicks into is completely gone ... broken off at the factory.  It was no where to be found in the box.

What should I do?  I would trade him if I knew of one in retail near me, but Alts are barely to be found anywhere anymore.  Should I call Hasbro and seek replacement?

Here is a 1.3 mega cameraphone picture ... sorry it's the best I can do. :)

Buy a Kitty Vette, which is still readily available, and pull the ole' switcharoo, then return it as defective.

Hmm...

I've found Swerve twice now. One I bought, but just to send to Generation Zero as I didn't want him m'self. I'd much rather have Tracks.

If someone wants to trade me a Tracks for a Swerve... I might be able to swing that.

Where'd you find Swerve? Target seems to be the hotbed of new stuff lately.

But, Ill swap you a MISB Smokes for Swerve. (waits for slap in the head)

Well ... I would ... except the missiles are different colors AND Swerve is missing the ability to mount the missle.  The plastic that it screws to is missing.

Customize the tracks into the red ravage!  Decepticon flame logo on the hood and robot chest.  Red ravage head.

Then with the left over ravage parts...take it back as defective and get something else.

You'll need to swap heads, and the launcher parts.  Could probably pry the peg out with a flat head screw driver and carefully work it out little by little.

Then keep looking for another swerve and have a cool custom.

I don't like the swerve head, I'd rather have a tracks head and make it road rage.  But then I'd rather have the black tracks and not ravage also...have no idea what to call the yellow tracks, and wonder if anyone is sick enough to get a G1 tracks, and paint it yellow...YUCK!

You have a defective and incomplete swerve.  Make the best of it.  Make a cool custom!

Now I am afraid to open mine...

I opened my first swerve seems intact, I transformed it once then back to car mode.

Thats a bit sucky indeed, my Binaltech Shockwave came with a loose bonnet that pops out everytime he is transformed, I do hope the quality is not going down hill.

you might get Sunstreaker, you might get Swindle.

Eithter way it will be yellow....... and a Jeep :tfevil

The alternator had the same problem with the hood popping off when I was about to put his head through the V in the hood.  Hold it into place and use the other hand to guide his head through.
