As Alternators have become harder and harder to find in retail, I have a few friends scattered about who keep their eyes peeled for me.  A friend of mine from the DC area recently sent me Alt. Swerve for my birthday.  When I opened him and began to transform him, I noticed that the entire missile structure on the passenger side is completely missing.  The body colored tab that the missile is fastened to and the nipple on the door clicks into is completely gone ... broken off at the factory.  It was no where to be found in the box.

 

What should I do?  I would trade him if I knew of one in retail near me, but Alts are barely to be found anywhere anymore.  Should I call Hasbro and seek replacement?

Scary. Maybe Hasbro. I just found Swerve tonight. I had to get the stock guy to open the case for me This guy is going to be harder to find than Prowl and Dcharge only coming in one wave and all.

There's a very high chance that Hasbro will send you an Alt other than Swerve i'm affraid.

 

A few people have had this speciffic problem with Swerve.

My Ravage was missing it's gun (since got a replacement ) and the plate thing with the Decepticon symbol on it....

 

Still need to get a replacement for that, and I know who has one, too -__-

I've found Swerve twice now. One I bought, but just to send to Generation Zero as I didn't want him m'self. I'd much rather have Tracks.

 

If someone wants to trade me a Tracks for a Swerve... I might be able to swing that.

g/s/d is right, Hasbro likely won't send you Swerve.  They'll only replace it with an "equivalent" item, which means it's a crapshot for a random Alt - you might get Sunstreaker, you might get Swindle.

Hey i had the exact same problem with my alt tracks

hasbro told me they dont make replacement parts and to bring the figure back to the store for another only problem is ... this is the only tracks ive ever seen

The only problem I've had with an Alt. yet...and it's a very minor one...is the front wheels on my swerve in car mode are a little messed up. They don't stay completely straight, they point inward towards each other just a little. I think one of the plastic pieces on the steering mechanism is too long , perhaps shaving a little plastic off will fix this problem. But that's the only problem I've noticed through the first 14 alts.

Issues I've had:

BT 07 Smokescreen-Trunk on right side buldges out, the Right side floor panel doesn't wanna stay connected and his Autobot symbol on his right shoulder was scratched at the top.

Alt Tracks-Windshield scratched

Alt Meister-Car body scuffed up but since he's white you can hardly see it.

B Ravage-scuffed car body but since he's black....he is obsessively tight to the point that it's not good and he doesn't quite line up right in car mode.

Dead End- hood doesn't want to stay down

Alt Smokescreen-The Subaru name is rubbing off the back windsheild.
