MP trailor

Recommended Posts

i still think that trailer is to long, but to each their own... irregaurless of the length of the trailer, im sure that they will end up being better than anything that i could ever do, so I can complain. Good luck to you.

Uh..the Testors trailer pictured at the top is/was available retail for 19.99, seen it for 15.00 also. It looks long but I think it fits the proportions, much better than the ones on ebay, Mark's projects, etc which are wayyy too short in reality.

What do you mean in reality? The one that was produced by Just Toys is proportional to the G1. This one is alright, but to be G1 accurate, it is a little long. No big.

I`m planning to incorporate the support legs into the connections for the main "tower" and then I`ll be giving it two possibly four gunner stations for Alt warriors, and of course what true transforming MP Prime trailer would be complete with out a roller for the humans to ride in. I`m thinking of building one that can seat a couple of G.I. Joes whom I will call Spike, and Daniel, but these aint the old school wimpy Spike and Daniel. These guys are packing heat! I`m not sure yet but I think that my BT Rodimus Prime can actually hold G.I. Joe figures I`ll have to check to make sure first. If not then Danny boy`s  gonna be paling around with my repaint of Ransack into Wheelie (bought but not even started yet). Roller will even be tricked out with weapons like a missile launcher, and pod mounted machine guns in the front bumper.

I can't say for sure about your particular custom (was your kit 1:24 scale like the Alt/BTs?), but the Joes are quite a bit bigger than the 1:24 scale.  I've been using the driver figures from the 80's MASK line myself.  Though they don't fit inside the Alts (because the Alts were made without the proper leg room, not because of their size), they are the closest things I've seen that work the best with this line.

By "in reality" I mean "life," not G1 proportions

Well unfortunately although GI Joes are about 1:18 they are the closest thing out on the market nowadays. I know they don`t fit into the Alts but when the Alts are in bot mode they look just about the right size. The trailer is 1:28 scale, not sure how big Roller will be but I`m going to try to make it so he`ll be able to carry a couple of Joes into battle. Oh by the way Wheelie is painted just gotta wait until he dries and then put him back together. :tfgrin

Well if you mean "out on the market nowadays" in the sense of what you go to Target and Walmart to find, I wouldn't even say that because I have seen other figures that are closer to 1:24 scale than the Joes are (there are some 1:24 scale cars that come with their own figures to scale for example).

However, I consider ebay to be part of "the market" and that's where I get some of my M.A.S.K. figures.  M.A.S.K. figures are closer to scale than the Joes are by a long shot (they may even be 1:24 themselves, however I do not know exactly.  If they aren't they're really close).  But if you like displaying your Joes by your Alts, then that's what makes you happy and I'm all for that! :tfgrin

The question I was asking was is your Dodge Ram Rodimus 1:24 scale or not?

I am also wondering if the Alternators Optimus Prime (the Dodge Ram for the Alternators line from Hasbro, soon to be released) will be 1:24 scale or not.  I really hope the scale stays the same, "no matter what the cost!"

Yes Superquad my Rodimus Prime is 1:24 scale. It is the DUBCity Dodge Ram 1500. I`ve given it an upgrade to the SRT10 though since all the SRT10 is, is a 1500 w/ a Viper engine in it.

Hey do the M.A.S.K. figures have actual faces or do they have like masks on their faces or something? I can`t seam to remember that show too well. I know it`s the one that had cars that were like the G1 triple changers except they didn`t transform into robots.

yes, they had faces the M.A.S.K were the gimmick

Hmm might have to look into those. Right now though I`l leaning toward getting a Firebolt from transrepro and repainting him into Rodimus Prime colors and altering the driver seat to have a hole for the handle. The name of this new Target Master is none other than Rodimus VTS. His face will be flesh colored so instead of looking like a robot like the original one did he`ll look human. I`m thinking that if there is a visor on the face I`ll paint it blue if not then I`ll just paint the eyes white and give him black pupils like I did on the Marvel models my son has in his room.
