Ultra sized leaders

Recommended Posts

I would love it if the leaders were scaled down so they looked like they were leaders for skill/intellegence, not just becuase they were the biggest badass.

True. In G1 Optimus was not really all that big compared to the other bots.

Why should a leader always have to big? Would you choose a leader just because he is big?

Doubt it very much.  :tftongue

I like the idea in Armade of having the crappy "Superpants" Prime and the smaller "Bendy" Prime. I think they should've had Bendy Prime released on his own (like they did) and the Superpants Trailer available as a seperate purchase, to upgrade the smaller leader toys if you want to.

Personally I am rather fond of Armada Prime. He looks bad ass and the auto Transform feature is really cool.

However, the smaller more posable version is also a very cool toy. They complement eachother well.

I agree. I thought how Hasbro/Takara practically forced people to buy the crappy trailer component was too much - plus, the trailer definitely doesn't worth that much to justify pumping the price of Amarda Optimus Prime to $69 CDN. To be honest, the whole toy shouldn't have cost more than $20 CDN.

while that may work for the autobots since they value knowledge and wisdom over brute strength, the opposite is true for the decepticons. Megatron has to be a big badass in order to force the other decepticons to follow his orders or else a stronger con could overthrow him. and then Optimus has to upgrade himself to match Megatron, hence the supermode.

besides, the leader class has the fewest toys in it next to the supreme class, so money requirements shouldn't be that bad.

Has anyone else noticed that Cybertron has a leader in every class except scout/basic?

Deluxe-Override-Speed Planet

Voyager-Vector Prime-Universal & Evac-Earth

Ultra-Scourge-Jungle Planet

Leader-Optimus Prime-Autobot  Megatron/Galvatron-Decepticon (For a little bit of Cybertron) & Metroplex-Giant Planet

Supreme-Starscream-Earth & Decepticon (Most of the end of Cybertron)

so wait star scream takes over in the end of cybertron ?

Tries, gets Starscream slapped by Primus, tries again.  Wouldn't say he takes over, but he definately becomes a good third party leader, so that you end up with three factions with people moving amoung them buy mid way into GF.

I think that everyone is forgetting that G1 also had the leader size class.  (At least in the initial wave.)  Same with Beast Wars.

And stop complaining about having to pay $40 for a leader!  We have to pay between $80 and $100 AUD for them.  (Which at the moment is between $60 AND $75 USD.)

I still like the leader class - but I wish there was more characterisation as to why they are leader other than they just are.
