HE would have sold much more than what was that THIRD seeker repaint??? dirge? Ramjet?? that NO ONE cared about cause they already got gouged by the first THREE SEEKER REPAINTS!!!!

 

The cool characters that Deserved to be Reissued SOLD well!

They could rerelese Prime, HotRod (or whatever lame name he has now), and StarScream AGAIN! as JUST those three figs and the line would continue to SELL!

I couldn't care less, seeing as the Takara reissues were better anyway. If I blame Hasbro for anything, it's that. These reissues were targeted at the collector's market, and the collectors are going to know about the Japanese reissues and would have been able to compare the two. I would have definitely bought a Hasbro Smokescreen reissue, but the fact that they didn't even bother to chrome the gun / missiles killed it for me. They didn't even mold them in gray plastic.

If they Truely were geared towards the Collector's market - and they wanted an extremely limited Venue - why not go with Diamond???

That Hot Rod re-issue I got is cheap as hell.  The original was put together better.  F Hasbro's re-issues.

Reason why I brought it up was the reissued most the characters I wanted:

Tracks

Red alert

Starscream

Thundercracker

Skywarp

Smokescreen

Jazz

Prowl

Optimus Prime

Ultra Magnus

Hot Rod

 

The ones they didn't were:

Megatron (Couldn't pass safety laws)

Soundwave

Sunstreaker (Mold is destroyed)

Wheeljack (Mold is destroyed)

Mirage
