See there, THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT with the cool new cars to use for future BT/ALT'S!

I have a picture request. Could you take a pic of the full alt mode and of the full bot mode?

Sure, not a problem...

How do you mean, like the full car up close and the bot up close? At angles, or from the side? Lemme know...

Like how my Rodimus Prime is in my signature. Full alt at a slight angle and a dynamic pose of the bot mode.

Like I said, I am no Remy but I hope this what you are looking for.  :thumb

that looks sweet!  Although I can't see how the wheels don't protrude out in car mode even if the GT wheels are thinner than Grimlock's original wheels unless you grinded down the wheel to arm attachment (which would essentially take away the steering capabilities).  Looking at the bot pics though it doesn't look like you grinded down the attachment.  Is the GT body the same width as the current mustang body or is it more narrow.  At any rate, it looks good in both modes.  :thumb

it was really a pain in the you-know-what to get that right finally... not only did I have to sacrifice the steering, but I had to keep dremelling down the brake calipers and arm connections to finally make it work. (If you look at the last car / bot mode pics, you'll notice that there are no calipers / brake pads in the wheels. (lol)

The hardest part is getting the transformation right. That alone took me about three months to get. The bot mode took another month by itself.

That being said, I probably wont tackle another project for awhile...

Sorry... I forgot to answer your question about the car frames. The Mustang was mostly the same width as the GT, except at the rear wheel wells. If you look at the rear side of the car, (Nemie's feet) you can see that they flare out a bit. I actually had to put spacers on the wheels to get them wider. On the front, it's a bit more narrow than the mustang, so the wheels originally stuck out. That's where the grinding came into play.

Ah I see.  Yeah, kitbashing another car kit onto an existing alt car body is like trying to fit a square block in a round hole most of the time.  Difficult indeed.  But you did a great job.

Those pics should work perfect Mazin I`ll see what I can do about making you a sig now. :thumb
