Are we getting left out?

How many figs have you found in stores Haggisman?

Alts? The latest release we got was Meister. I think I remember seeing Deadend once. So, as I said before, NO Grimlock, NO Wheeljack, NO Shockblast, NO Battle Ravage, NO Swindle, NO Swerve, NO Decepticharge, NO Prowl.

And almost all online sellers are American, deal in US currency, or offer lower shipping fees to Americans. So if you think shipping charges are bad, think of what other countries pay.

Also, in store Alts go for $50 here. So yeah, I think my Rattrap paraphrase was appropriate.

That is horrible. you should move. For the whole year of 2004 all TRU had was Smokescreen and Sideswipe. 3 months into 05 though they had ravage and shockblast before any other store. Swerve has been there too I just keep missing it.

i can top that. my alts include: smokescreen, lambor, silverstreak, deadend, hound and tracks. tracks and deadend i saw only once and bought them. i havent seen anything else since then. not even swidle. and i dont even want him. :redface

In The Netherlands alts cost 25 Euro but we only got Swindle and Windcharger.

In Ireland they're 30 Euros..

(Not that i ever wait for anything to be release here  :tflaugh:  )

I have been trying to bt prowl for a decent price but all i find it OUTRAGEOUS PRICES

Prowl is no more expensive than any of the other BT's were at launch. Wait a few months and you may find a seller who has a glut of them and is selling them cheap.

according to the news/rumor about why wal-mart doesn't have any alts anymore, Swerve, DC, tracks, and newer ones should be easier to find in the spring.

Based on what info is available on future Alt Cases, there's no logical reason why they would be.

Neither DC nor Swerve were  mentioned in the 'reset' listing for  Spring.

DC...  *may* be rotated  back into the line, but it's gonna take a while for WM to get any more if they do get any more at all. They'll be ordering the new Alt cases

in bulk, and will be stocking them for a long time before they order any cases with additional toys in them.

Swerve is unlikely to return after they're done with Tracks, since that version of the Z06 will have been discontinued.

I think that  walmart leaving the line out of the shelves is not a good move.

Fot the Alt collector it's a heavy blow. For them it's great. Think about it, for every $20 toy they sell, they

probably sell 5 $5.00 toys .

Thing is, an Alt isn't a likely prospect for most kids. I think $20.00 is still a considerable amount to most of them, and the average parent is unlikely to drop that on a toy at short notice.

Well for being an American, and living in a major metropolitan area, I've only really ever seen Grimlock and Swindle.  On occasion, I spot Ravage or Swerve.  Being a bit of a G1 fundamentalist (and already having gotten Swindle BT), none of those have been appealing enough to shell out the money for.

I agree though that there are many benefits we in this country all too often take for granted, even in something like transformer toys -- being in the home country of one end of the manufacturer, thus lower shipping costs, the significantly lower price of gas relative to most of the rest of the world, lower taxes, a more free-form economy, no or low import fees when ordering from Japan.

Unfortunately, even if some of us here went into business, there's little we could do to equalize or improve the situation for those in other countries.  I just try not to complain about relative trivialities.  And I do have to agree that if more of us here were aware of the advantages we have, there'd be less groaning.

In this case though, I think the complaint isn't entirely unwarranted.  After all, you'd think that within the manufacturer's home country, we'd see more widespread availability of their product..

In Australia the last Alt I've seen in the shops is Meister. No Grimlock, Shockblast, Wheeljack, Swindle, Battle Ravage, Swerve, Decepticharge or Windcharger.

Really, you should count yourself lucky that you might only have to order one from the internet.

Have you tried casefresh.com?  They're in NSW too - Miranda to be precise.

HasbroToyShop should start carrying Alternators.

... and start making deliveries to Puerto Rico as well!  :tfmad

Haggisman I feel for you. I live next to target, toys r us and Kicks which are all a 5 minute walk from my apt.  My problem is not having enough money for everything I want
