Vector Prime = AWESOME

Recommended Posts

I just recently got Cybertron Vector Prime...and let me tell you...I think he is one of the greatest transformers since Unicron came out. He looks wicked cool in both modes (something that most of these cybertron toys are seriously lacking in) and his transformation is right in that unusual little niche between being too easy and too hard. That basically means that you can't IMMEDIATELY see how he mostly transforms *cough* E-Omega Supreme *cough* but if you know how it works you'll never forget and you can do it in a second. Did I mention how cool he looks?

Then theres the minicon he comes with! That's a pretty cool little minicon to be packaged with a bot. And the "universal" key is so much cooler than a normal key. Personnaly I am SO happy with him. I'm surprised I haven't heard much about him.

He was the first Cybertron character I picked up. I always wanted a Transformer knight.  :thumb

What you said about his transformation characterizes the entire Cybertron line in general for me. Great looking alt modes that don't just look like a robot folded up combined with transformations that have a bit of complexity without being frustrating. The variety of alt modes in this line are also a big plus. You have the beastformers for Beast Wars fans along with a good mix of realistic and futuristic vehicle modes for G1 fans. This is the best Transformers line yet IMO.

VP was my second Cybertron toy and I really like him too. Jetfire was my first and he was such a let down in robot mode - I can hardly get him to stand up. Maybe I'm doing it wrong :tdown

The bugger is top heavy, I'll give em that. What I do to keep him standing upright is angle the back toes downward so it tilts him at a forwad angle. I have him displayed on a shelf standing behind Vector Prime, and Energon Quickstrike, and he actually looks like he's standing upright and not tilting forward. Works pretty well, give it a try. :thumb

On topic. I too like Cybertron Vector Prime, for what he is. The white a bit blinding but overall from every report I've read he's identical to the GF variation. The only exceptions being colour, several paint aps, and the softer plastic used for both the sword and wings. The wings on mine are a bit bent from packaging but other than that I have no complaints, no regrets. :thumb

It's funny how you consider these things negligible. They're no big deal to me either. It's just that I've seen fans go into long rants about "evil Hasbro" taking away their paint apps. :roll

Well, I didn't even mess w/ the missing paint apps, I went right to the Takara GF version and I love it.

This figure has way too much going for it, the above mentioned great looking bot and alt modes, the classic feel, the cool weapons and minicon. I felt that I just had to get the superior Takara version and I don't regret it. Great figure.

the only regret getting this is wishing i got the GF version

See both, like the GF version a little better so I bought it.  But either way its a great mold.  Here the VP coming in the TRU exclusive two pack with the smaller GF size Starscream later this year may have the GF paint colors though.  Thats a rumor though so don't quote me on it please.

i have to say that i really like my VP - BUT i disagree with all you in that i think His TF-Scheme is retarded.

I mean he Looks Great in both modes but the actual process is "I bend in half and my big ass kibble folds up...

As an erley Cybertronian ,it's only right to give him a simple transformation process, it fits in with his origins and is a nice hommage to both topspin and raideen!

FYI Raideen was the first transforming toy to sucsessfully transform without removing and replacing parts(1975) :tftongue
