I am so picking this up as soon as he is out, even if Takara say they're releasing it next month for a hundred bucks. I gotta have him!

By the way, is it just me, or does this years gimmick seem to hurt the toy less than Unicron's did? Maybe it's just me, because the chip-square/omega lock actually feels like it "should" be part of it... I dunno. I'm ranting now. Gawd that's hot though.

I don't know that the minicon gimmick really hurt unicron.  He had holes in his  shins and belly, but what would go there instead?  the chest cannon is pretty lame, but again, what would be there instead?  He didn't lose any articulation.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't responded to this yet. :inheek

 

First off, thanks BR for investing the $600 and giving us all an exclusive first look at this amazing figure. It sounds like everyone for once is in agreement of something. :clap I too intend to pick this guy up whenever he sees relelase. Can't get enough planetformers IMO. :clap

 

The overall size of Primus and the fact he's slightly smaller than Unicron in both molds doesn't bother me in the slightest. Personally I would have prefered Unicron slightly smaller but that's just me. I'm not altogether impressed with the cyberkey unlocking mechanism but it's still neat seeing Hasbro try something a little more advanced with there cyberkey gimick for a change. Overall I'm pretty impressed with out he turned out in both molds, and the colours/paint aps work well doing a good job both detailing and bringing the toy to life. My only gripe if any at this state in production is the fact his wrists don't rotate and are instead fixed in place. It's a minor complaint but if Hasbro is going to invest this much time and effort into a toy I don't see how they could overlook something as simple and easily initiated as wrist rotation. Thank goodness they at least gave him articulated figures unlike Supreme Starscream. :thumb

 

Lastly great pics, and I look forward to this release in the next year or so. :thumb It seems like a long time but with Cybertron just kicking off there's still plenty to look forward to in the coming months. :thumb Wants freaking Evac yesterday. :tflaugh
