im sorry in advance. good try and im sure he did everything he could. but that ba is fugly. if a mold wasnt specificaly made to be female it aint gonna look female. the only ones to note i think are bm ba, tm2 ba, and e arcee. and whatever repaints of them are of course.

on the contrary,  with ENOUGH work a male transformer can look female (just look at  some people) It would just take more kitbash to the point of building peices from scratch and most arnt willing (or talented enough) to attempt it.

for the record i dont think overide looks particularly male. i think overide looks fine.

i agree that some can be a lil more feminin just with a different paint job. whats that repaint of nightbeat again? you all know the one. it looks femenin to me. just like overide does. and of course you can make anything look the other way with a talented enough kitbash. but ive never seen anything like that. those fembots from the sideburn mold looked pretty cool. i dont remember what i was getting at... but i did manage to contradict myself. :wave

I just wanted to point out how that B.A. has a comically huge rack.  I'm sure it was just an...unfortunate design flaw.  (In all seriousness, I'm positive it was.)

 

I dissapprove of NC/Override's "gender" change.  I just saw him tonight in Galaxy Force, and I thought, "That's a cool TF :thumb."  I guess we can look foward to hearing a lot of girl-funny quips from him in Cybertron.

ok... from the first shots of the gf mold i thought it was female. guess thats why i thought it was the other way around. btw... people complain shes not femenin enough. does that mean youd preffer the character to be male like in gf?

I would, but the toy has relatively little to do with it.  I think the way Nitro Convoy is realized in Galaxy Force is just fine.  Changing him over to a female seems like it was done just for the sake of doing it.  Anyway, racing is something I always associate with males.  The need for speed is definitely more common in guys- and that's a good dynamic for the rivalry forming between Nitro Convoy (Override) and Ex/Hot Shot.

it might be possible to build a better overide figure using energon landmine for the base figure and then just swaping out parts and altering where needed so that it all fits together right. anybody want to try it go right ahead just post pics when your done.

 

me im gonnna bash landmine up into scavenger as he was one cool character that got boned big time figure wise

Okay, looking at it, the main problem here is the chest/cab area. I think it can be reworked by putting a tri-fold" joint in the chest. You see, a tri-fold joint is similar to the one that alt smokescreen has for the floor of the car to fold in and become his stomach in robot mode. By including a similar joint, the quick-change mechanism could be retained, and the chest could be made far more slender. (for those of you who don't get my idea, the chest would fold along this joint and compact down vertically, reducing the width in robot mode.) Needless to say, the joint would have to run vertically, and the canopy would have to be attached seperately to the top of the chest, on a sprue or pylon that would retain the canopy hinge. The upper shoulder pylons on the chest will have to be reworked to allow room for the head when the chest is foled, but from what I see, it shouldn't affect the alt mode. (yes, I'm looking at remy's pics of both robot and alt mode.)

 

The face can be made more feminine by sanding down the jawline slighly. Also, reducing the overall thickness of the neck would help greatly. The upper ars should be sanded  (the orange part), and rounded off a bit more.

 

The upper hips look like material can be added to round them up a bit more as well, ans the lower legs could be slenderized in certain areas a bit.

 

 

Overall, I would have to attempt one myself (very tempted to!), but it looks to me like it isn't exactly impossible.  It will just take a bit of re-engineering on the chest to accomlish this. The rest is probably more cosmetic than anything.
