I thought the official version doesn't have stripes....

no the alternator version has stripes whilst the bta dosent. from what iv seen the main differences apart from the stripes/diecast and figure parts are that

 

bta sunstreaker has yellow thighs/alt sunstreaker has grey with yellow highlights

 

bta sunstreaker has yellow upper arms and black and yellow foreamrs/alt sunstreaker has red upper arms and grey forearms

 

bta sunstreaker has blac shoulders/alt sunstreaker has yellow

 

bta sunstreaker has yellow highlights on his lower leg and the silver higlights are in the same formation as sideswip/alt sunstreaker has red hightlights and the silver highlights are in the same formation as deadend

 

bta sunstreaker has full black crotch/alt sunstreaker's is silver and black

 

bta sunstreaker chest/back of seats is yellow /alt sunstreakers chest is black

 

bta sunstreaker has a black chest/crest/alt sunstreaker has a silver crest/chest

 

bta sunstreaker has yellow feet with black toes and two black stripes/alt sunstreaker has all black feet

 

the plastic underneath the rear windsheild in car mode on bta sunstreaker is black/on alt sunstreaker it is yellow

 

also bta sunstreaker is more golden yellow compared to the alts glow in the dark yellow

I think that I have to say that I acctually like the ALT version better on this one.. BTA's Vehicle mode looks to.. plain.... The black stipes on the alt version gives it an attitude that streaker had

I wish there was a golden yellow one WITH black stripes :roll

can i just ask why on this mold on the shoulders when you see officila transformations you see the silver bolt thing, i transform deadend so it goes to the back and doesn't look like he has holes in his shoulders

I hate the black stripes on the alt version of Sunstreaker, I think silver or white would have looked much better.  I think I like the BTA version a little more, everything just looks cleaner/more cohesive on the BTA Sunstreaker.

to be honest i really dont like the alt version and this will be the first character i choose to get a bt for to me alt streaker just looks like they took deadend and only repainted parts they HAD to case in point the red arms and chest its like "hmmm do we realllllllllllly have to paint all this toy" "where selling this for $20 like hell we dont" i swear i wouldnt be suprised if you scratched his face and it was bronze. at least with the bta i dunno it actually looks a hell of a lot different then deadend that just my 2cents though if someone buys the alt and likes it  :thumb  but thats just my reasoning for why i wont be buying alt streaker

Looking at those, I think I like the Alt version more overall- but I like the feet for the BTA better. If they'd made his fists yellow and the forearms black, while keeping the red upper arms, that would be best.

 

 

Any word on an expected time for Alt Streaker to show up in the U.S. ???

I'll be buying both and switching parts out. I'll probably end up doing the trunk mod and putting a swivel on the hood piece like I did for DeadEnd and also perhaps hinging the hips for better articulation. The BTA I'll display without cutting on it =P
