Settling the argument. Once and for all

I really really want to say something inflammatory....

but Wildling is right. Stop comparing shows to each other. It only causes divisions in the fandom.

*Smack.* there's nothing wrong with comparing shows. it's like comparing your favorite food to one you don't like, or your favortie console game to one you like, but not as much as the first one. :P

:redface

Comparison is fine, as long as it's done objectively.

Sadly, objectivity is something I don't see a lot of in these discussions. It's always "I grew up with" or "I never liked" or "I had these toys" etc. All I ask is that people step outside of their own experiences and influences for a moment, and try to see things from another perspective. There is no perfect TF series (not even Beast Machines :P), and everything has pros and cons. But too much of the time discussions like this just degenerate into ---> :argue

pwned by both MH and Wildling. a new record!

id have to say im in agreeance with them. if someone wants an intelligent conversation without the typical so and so suxxors and so on, i wouldnt nessesarilly come here. not that its a bad place to go to converse, but youll just end up getting annoyed by the so and so suxxors and the childish arguements will ensue.

I'd LOVE to have an objective discussion of the pros and cons of each TF series.... but too often it comes down to subjective memories and emotions. For me, there are scenes in TF:TM that are still very emotional for me, even after 20 years. Someone watching it now would probably be like "BWAHAHA THAT IS SO GHEY". It's kind of tough to reach a common ground sometimes b/c of stuff like that.

yeah i know what you mean. my freinds sometimes are like lets watch tf:tm. sometimes i shudder, and rightly so. thet rip on me when they all start dancing, and theyre all like "this is what ur into?" then i naturaly tell them to get Powerglideed.

Yeah.  That scene could have been trimmed. A lot.

and why.... why did that junkion have to kiss grimlock.

Everything in Beast Machiens was explained as clear as day.

I felt that Armada Starscreams death was more moving than Dinobot's/

Because it's Animeformers, and they're so much better than Beast Wars. :P

Seriously, though, it's impossible to really compare all the shows and generations fairly without getting into some major Starscream fests. We'll just leave it at this: each show/toy line/generation has both its ups and downs, now STFU

Every series has its place in the history of the Transformers fandom.  PERIOD.
