To sum up.

G1 is groovy. Everything else is groovy. Don't like a particular series? That's groovy too, just don't shout about it 'cause no-one gives a damn.

I really really want to say something inflammatory....

but Wildling is right. Stop comparing shows to each other. It only causes divisions in the fandom.

*Smack.* there's nothing wrong with comparing shows. it's like comparing your favorite food to one you don't like, or your favortie console game to one you like, but not as much as the first one. :P

:redface

Everything in Beast Machiens was explained as clear as day.

I felt that Armada Starscreams death was more moving than Dinobot's/

i never saw any of armada, and prolly only a quarter of energon. i was waiting for a dvd season set but we all know what happened to that.

I really really want to say something inflammatory....

I think you missed my (and LM's) point.  Comparing them objectively, and saying stuff like "I prefer ______ because ... " is fine.

Saying "________ SUXX BECUZ IT ISN'T ________" is just stupid and only leads to fighting.

I really really want to say something inflammatory....

Comparison is fine, as long as it's done objectively.

Sadly, objectivity is something I don't see a lot of in these discussions. It's always "I grew up with" or "I never liked" or "I had these toys" etc. All I ask is that people step outside of their own experiences and influences for a moment, and try to see things from another perspective. There is no perfect TF series (not even Beast Machines :P), and everything has pros and cons. But too much of the time discussions like this just degenerate into ---> :argue
