Politics and religion are so blurred nowadays, how can you tell which is which?

Well, I think it's mostly because they're robots for one.. they really don't have much of a need for poltics, none that I can see anyway... well, the autobots 'do the right thing' (megatron's master plan anyone?) for the sake of not killing things. Just because a lot of them are big stampy robots doesn't give them the right to parade around and act like the own the joint, ya know? Decepticons get their goods by stealing, and killing those who get in their way.. Autobots get their goods by helping. They're really after the same thing, they just have a different way of doing things.

 

There's not much to speak about as far as transformer religion goes, unless you bring in primus and the matrix.. but that doesn't seem like something that's fought over.. just sort of accepted. If there was a conflicting religion, then that would be something for them to fight over.. but I don't see any transformer really worshipping unicron like a cult following or anything.

In DW's War Within Age Of Wrath, Megatron is VERY Hitler esque. He rounds up the Autobots and puts them in slave camps. It later becomes known as The Age Of Internment-thats what they called it in World War 2.

except that the autobots posed a viable threat to megatron's rule while Hitler's paranoia about jews was completely irrational, unfounded, and mostly based on religion.

I think it's funny how a Japanese toy line is being compared to Hitler and not Tojo.

Interesting subject. Heres my take on it. Megatron, using Eddie Guerrero's line, he lies, he cheats, he steals and oh yea kills when it suits him (Megs). Megatron has no respect for life one way or the other unless it may benefit him. Does anyone actually think Megs cares for his fellow Decepticons? If you believe that your very idiotic. Megs cares ONLY for himself and his fellow Cons are only pawns to be used and discarded.

 

In the real world Megs and the Decepticons would have given a rats a** about 9-11 in fact they may used it for their own gain. With the world in caos at the time they would have struck and taken out everyone and every country no matter the cost of lives.

 

I cant compare Megs to Bush. Megs didnt hide his ambitions like the so called President.

 

 

Megs and his followers are ruthless and care only for themselves and there is only one leader and faction that is in their way and thats Prime and the Autobots.

now that i think of it they can be compared to dictators not because of their method but their absolutist beliefs for the decepticon race
