A paradox is merely a word for something that's too complex for the human mind to understand. I severely doubt travelling back in time to give a past version of yourself a crappy box with the words "flux capacitor" written on it would induce such a contradiction that the universe itself ceases.

It doesn't work (or meant to) in the way you would think. It is designed to use certain energies that allow you to astrally project easier. Where you go when this happens is generally random because people generally do not have the willpower to direct it properly. And I know that time travel does exist within the mind because I have done it before.  :thumb
