Are you guys just as pissed as me?

Ok, so I knew that Cybertron Vector Prime was missing paint apps from the GF version.

But I didn't know how many paint applications were missing on Optimus from his GF counterpart.

1.  Missing yellow paint on top cab lights.

2.  Missing wheels paint on the last set of wheels, the one with the springs.

3.  The inner sides of both cannons are missing paint, should look like the outers.

4.  Missing red paint on the leg cannons/missile storage.  Missing on the sides, only painted the top.

5.  Missing gold paint on the force chip thingy.

Now if 1 or 2 of these paint apps where missing, I wouldn't be so pissed but for $40 I expect more!

You would figure that since the Cybertron version is missing paint apps that it would at least be slighty cheaper then GFs but no.  I am not talking about the imported GF price, but the price you would pay if you were in Japan, which is 4200 yen, which is roughly $40.  But the only way to get the GF version if you are not in Japan, is to pay $60 or so.  Is it worth $20 more to get the 5 missing paint apps?  NO!

Now this is where I get pissed.  Hasbro know we don't have a choice but to buy the Cybertron version, so we are stuck with missing and crappy paint jobs.  If the domestic prices of GF and Cybertron are the same, why did Hasbro leave out the paint???

I know that some of you buy the GF versions or both but it is not worth extra $20 for and buying 2 versions is just stupid.  Its not like its made of die-cast, which is why I pay $20 extra for BTs.

hasbro is just cutting corners so they can get a bigger return profit. they figure that since the kids they aim tf's at are too young to know any better then they can get away with this.

and they're right

i love my hasbro Cybertron toys thanks... the only thing i bothered to import was starscream because a supreme starscream is :ghey

I don't get mad. I get Galaxy Force.

Here's what I think:

This shouldn't be surprising to you or anyone else who follows TF news even casually. You could bitch about this situation or you could just deal with it. These are children's toys after all, and Hasbro isn't under any obligation to make you happy. It's your own fault for being so obsessive about toys that you get upset over paint.

I really couldn't care less. The figures come out just fine and unless all you care to do is measure against the imports then it's like you're looking for disappointment.

I'm ecstatic with my Vector Prime. Optimus and Supreme Starscream are magically delicious. If the only thing that Hasbro does is cut paint apps as opposed to dunking them in a vat of pastels then I am perfectly happy. They look great, the plastic is of decent quality and they turned out to be better figures than I expected. So what if he's missing paint apps I didn't notice in the first place, the figure is kickass.

I don't see what the big deal is. So it's missing some paint apps, so what? Do kids care if a certain piece is yellow or red? No.
