ALT TRACKS vs BT Blue TRACKS...

Recommended Posts

It's not like BT Tracks has *that* much die-cast, though. Personally, I think the difference between Alt and BT Tracks is a lot less than the difference between (say) Alt and BT Smokescreen or Alt and BT Wheeljack.

re: the sticker..... it just gives me the jibblies. It's not even a heat transfer or a decal -- it's a STICKER. And a horribly cheesy one at that. Putting that thing on a beautiful looking car like BT Tracks just seems so wrong.

Plus, just as a reminder, the Corvette never had flame decals. It shouldn't have been on G1 Tracks to begin with.

I only have Alt Tracks.  I had no problem finding him in Wal-Mart.  He is the only alt. I have, the rest being BT.

There are five WalMarts near me, of these, two never seem to have any Alts - but strangely enough the only Alt I saw at either of the two in the last eight months was Tracks.

IMO I think all the Alts suck and look cheap compared to the BTs, with the exception of Alt Tracks.  He is the best Alt in terms of quality.

I'd add Silverstreak and Grimlock to this list - since Hasbro painted these guys you can't tell the difference unless you pick them up.  (Hound is almost as good, too.)

And I don't know why people are still paying $50 for the plastic Alt when  you can get the metal BT with the sticker for the same price or lower.  Its the same damn thing, just better. :roll

I don't understand this either.

i got alt tracks...

but i do have BT's in my collection (BT Only figs, like zoom zoom and yellow tracks).  anywayz from far away you cant really tell the diffrence

Alt Tracks fo lif3!

It's true that some of the Alts are virtually indistinguishable from their BT counterparts (most notably Hound IMO)... Basically any time you have a gloss paint job, the BT is gonna look a lot better. When the Alt has a metallic flake maint job, it's gonna look almost as good as the BT. JMO

I agree.

In fact, Takara doesn't even bother to paint the plastic on Tracks' non-diecast panels (the same holds true for Hound and Swindle).

And it's noticeable on Swindle.

I like both Alts AND BTs -The only problem I have with BTs is that They're almost TOO Pretty to handle

I have Alt Tracks since I was able to find him when he first came out.  Had I not, I surely would have gotten the BT version.

I consider Swindle the worst BT for this very reason.
