yeah well i was watching the test footage package real video here http://www.aintitcool.com/tb_display.cgi?id=20816#947872

and reading the messages below it. wow

didnt really think that was common, just wow. man people feel the need to be holes everywhere. damn

That's nothing. Try reading the old TFormers archive around last year or earlier, way before they allowed only members to post and before TFans.com existed. God. It's like Hasbro's the freakin' anti-Christ and everything beyond G1 sucked. You can't even try to be positive or defend anything Hasbro related because they'll hound you for being a Hasbro lackey or some crap like that.

That's what I see whenever I go into any topic in TFGD or News & Rumors ....

I don't see it all that often myself, and I consistantly browse TFGD and News & Rumors.

Then your News and Rumors section isn't this one. :roll :P

That place is rife with teh fanboys.

Dude, I had some guy give me a death threat off of there because I suggested he take it easy on Hasbro. I thought E.Prime deserved a chance before he came out, he wailed on it in every post. The rest of them referred to me as some undercover hasbro employee since I would point out logical business practices and explain in plain english what the company was doing. :roll

Stuff like that is just sad. I don't mind any opinions as long as folks aren't presenting them as fact. To each their own.

I think everyone would be a lot happier if they balanced their hobbies with actual real-life activities. All of this obsessive weirdness really turns me off to TF-related stuff. I mean, okay -- Transformers was important to me in the 80's, but jeebus it's been twenty years. I *have* moved on a bit since then.

For me, it's not so much that I don't have real life activities going on. I just enjoy most things Transformers. I'm not hung up on the whole Japanese vs. American battle over which is better. It's always been the availability of the toys that wins me over. I don't enjoy getting bots in the mail as much as I do finding them on a toy hunt. That's why I usually acquire more Hasbro than Takara. I still see awesome things in both though. Also with each toyline, I see positives and negatives in each. I think Injector sucks as a toy, but I still own him and wouldn't get rid of him for almost anything. I've got so many silly Transformers items like cheesy watches, backpacks, kickballs, etc., but not to "complete" the collection. My stuff is hardly seen by many, but I enjoy going into that room on a daily basis and looking at everything Transformers. It's my hobby.

And you're also a normal person, which helps. :)

Sometimes when looking at that same Transformer room, I wonder about that. I DO realize that it probably looks a bit extreme to most people. :redface

I don't think "fanboyness" is determined by how much stuff you have, but the degree to which you are able to step outside of the bubble. If you know what I mean.

The Seinfeld "Bubble Boy" episode was awesome.
