Worst Alternator

Recommended Posts

For me, even the worst in this line is still light years beyond most TF toys (although they seem to be catching up). With that being said, who is your least favorite in the Alternator line so far and why?

I have to go with Ravage. Why? Because they took a cassette bot and turned him into a  normal sized TF/car. Now how the is he supposed to fit in Soundwave? As trivial as this sounds, it really does bother me. When did ravage get on par with Shockwave or Grimlock? It's almost insulting. However, he still rocks and is a proud member of my collection and well worth picking up. I am happy I did.

Who is your least fav.?

Ditto on Ravage.

wheeljack, only because i have yet to get that engine back in the car mode right and putting it back into car mold it kept getting missaligned somewhere, this guy drives me nuts, but he is still kool.

Sideswipe.  I still like him, and all, but he just feels...somewhat lesser than the others.

I'm not to thrilled with most of the remolds/repaints with the exception of Silverstreak, Dead End and Decepticharge, either, since I don't feel enough was done with the remolding to distinguish them from their predecessors.  And that's why I won't be buying them.

[edit] BTW, Ravage is as he is because he's a reincarnation of the Beast Wars X9 Ravage, not "Jaguar".

Swipe on account that its just not Sideswipe; I'd still kill for a lamborgini Alternator just so I can swap heads.

worst Alt: sorry but Smokescreen, first release bot and he's got that toyish blue plastic that makes him look fake. the others have gotten better injection colors and paint aps.

Least favorite so far has been Windcharger.

I actually quite like Windcharger (especially since I bought mine with a repro-barrel), but he doesn't quite seem to fit in with the others, on account of him being too detailed.  The other Alts have a fairly minimalistic way of using detail, almost Anime styled.  And then comes Windcharger, with his complex-looking head design, tons of detailing on his legs, and more sophisticated colour layout (in terms of the way everything is layered).

None of them. Till I see Swerve in person. On the Seibertron gallery his colors are all jacked up.
