Heh. Cyclonus beat me like a bad monkey until like the 20th try when he slipped off the building at some point during the fight, then teh game got glitchy and he was stuck halfway in the temple. He couldn't transform, his shots couldn't touch me... but I could shower him in blastery doom. ^_^

 

It was a quirky, yet satisfying victory :tfevil

LOL, I yet to have a glitch on mine...it would be welcome in some spots.

It took a little while to figure cyclonus out but I kept him in my sights and tried to keeps some rocks between me and him that are in front of the building. He was a pretty good challenge.

 

Funny thing is that I beat Tidal Wave the first time I fought him, in fact he did no damage to me whatsoever. I had a shield minicon that I would activate whenever he started firing and I would turn it on when I stopped to shoot his head with the sniper. I thought it was very easy, just time consuming, didn't know he could actually touch you

what I don't like about the game is that you fly too much when you get shot with something big, and it takes too much time to get up, plus drowning in the water was also stupid. :lol

there's a whole bunch of stupid stuff about the game. here's what i found:

 

- it's a shooter. i think all TV show-based games should be action games. shooters are for the more serious gamers

 

- Unicron doesn't transform. cmon. his robot mode is his claim to fame. there was no reason why he couldnt turn into a robot on the second round in his fight at all

 

- the game has autosave. i can defeat Tidal Wave with one hand tied behind my ba- no wait. i need to use both analog sticks now. stupid shooter.... but you get my point. anyway, i like to fight him, but i can't defeat him because the stupid game autosaves after he dies and you have to play the whole game all over again just to fight him once more. ugh.

 

- it's a shooter. i listed this again because this was easily the biggest mistake ever. shooters are for the gamers who like to strategize and think. games based on TV shows tend to be more for gamers who just like to have fun without having to think much.

I too hate Shooter games with a passion, but I thought this was the best Transformers game idea ever. It worked out well, playing it was fun for me.

playing it was a chore for me. atari lists this as an action game. which it is not. if it were, the camera would move with you and you would not need to strafe much. but the biggest difference would be that you wouldnt need to aim, the target would automatically lock on. much like Clone Wars, which was a really really fun game.

 

without cheats, i would not have reached Unicron. sad but true.
