Alternator head campaign

I could not have done better my self.  One thing to worry about is the debth of those head fins.  The Diaclone version they go back pretty far.  But then that might not let em transform.

I found this paint skeme to a ford Nascar.  If I could get my hands on a couple Wheeljacks I was planning on making the Marlboor my self...but then I hardly have the free time to post, let alone kit bash (G1 black Snake-eyes Marlboor sits on my shelf again waiting for next weekend to be worked on...)

Hope the paint helps...getting a tad off topic.

Alright, here is the near finnish model of the head.

It still seperates in two halves like the original Alt.WJ head.

All I have to do is fill in some minor gaps and sand it down and maybe add just a tiny bit of detail to the ears so the head doesn't seem so plain.

Let me know what you all think....

Alright. Here are 2 pics of the WIP of the M.WJ head I'm working on.

I retooled it from the exsisting Alt WJ head.

After the clay hardens I'm going to sand it down in key areas then sculpt the Snake Eyes type visor.

Dunno how ell it'll fit in that alt though. Ears might have to be trimmed down...

Let me know what you guys think so far...

Looks great so far William  :thumb  Looking forward to repro'ing that one for sure. Smooth as a baby's bottom is all I ask  :D .

Off topic but while I'm here... I had a boo boo in the shop and my BT GT Smokescreen and launcher are no more. So if anyone has one that's MIB or MISB and would like to trade/sell, please let me know.

Also, if you have dead Alt/BT bodies and/or pieces that you are not going to use, you can send them my way for a few dollars worth of trade. That is if they are taking up room and you just want to get rid of them.

Just asking, no lightup eye effect for this one? IMO, that would make him much meaner looking. Glowing red eyes  :eek

Actually, I was thinking about that and the only way I can really see something like that done is if the whole head was cast clear and then painted by whoever is customizing/painting the head.

I thought it would look cool with a reg clear back to allow alot of light with a clear purple face peice. Paint the visor but leave the cracks unpainted and it should have an eary glow. Or maybe just leave the visor unpainted clear purple. Either way it's up to the consumer but when I do get a copy of this bad boy I'm going with clear and clear purple. Surrounding details can be painted to stop light from passing through. One general coat of black then the colors I chose for the head. (Prob silver.)

No paint but it's on his shoulders to get a good feel for how it looks.
