It's only one guy who needs to lighten up. Like I said, he's only upset that he'll need to find a new source for leaked info. Hell, Nevermore should take blame for encouraging leaking in the first place, embolding the leaker to tell more people sensitive company info and getting the guy fired.

look at all the hinges in planet mode. this must certainly be based on a toy.

There's only so many ways a globe can transform. I'm actually glad there is some similarity to Unicron, as they are considered two facets of the same coin.

there's still some significant differences. but the way i see it, primus was designed with the fact that tf's actually live on him in mind. since no one lives on unicron, his body could be stripped down to the bare essentials.

And the planet mode doesn't look a lot like the Cybertron we've seen for 20 years. How close is it to the one shown in the first Galaxy Force episodes? Any comparison pics?

I'm starting to wonder if Primus will indeed be Cybertron at all. Maybe a moon instead?

 

I say that because the pics don't look like Cybertron, Primus is much more symmetrical. And I would love it if the toys were more to scale with each other than Unicron was in Armada/Energon. More playability that way too.

Hmm, I wonder if they have plans for a retooled GF Unicron.

 

Don't get me wrong I would have loved the Armada one as a kid (back in 86'), but being older and more picky (oh and being a breast man as well) the idea of a half-planet reminded me a bit of a rather unusual breast implant, or perhaps a novelty bra if you got two!

 

So maybe this time round with this Primus (who so looks like ol' Dons' artwork) being an attempt to create a more or less perfect globe, maybe Unicron may get the same treatment.

 

One question though does the size reference of Cybertron still hold as being the size of Saturn?

Believe it or not, it's not "my source" or something I'm afraid about. It's just someone I respect. And FYI, I haven't seen the Primus pic before. I'm sure I could have gotten it if I asked, but I didn't. Why? Because I still have a sense of integrity.

Well, it's safe to say your respect was misplaced.

I have to agree. If this news was considered such a big secret for Hasbro it was utterly unprofessional for the "source" to leak the info to anyone. Certain toys you can probably get away with, but it shows a lack of respect and lack of loyalty to the company you work for to release a big secret, no matter who it is to.

 

As it is, I'm left wondering why the hell he released the news weeks ago to people, when he knew if it got out he ran the risk of loing his job.

 

I just find the whole thing confusing. Most of all, why anyone would expect to get leaked information two weeks in advance. What's so special about these guys?
