BT rumours - skids, alert, sunstreaker

Recommended Posts

i feel the main BT line will continue to have 2 molds each, 1 original and 1 remold. Besides color/paint variants like WRC and RX-8, this has been true so far.

perhaps BT has come a long way and garnered its fair share of fans to be considered more mainstream now(but nowhere near the mainline like GF), hence the BTA series, for more serious collectors and for fans only. Only older fans would be excited about a sunstreaker and a po lice WRC version. I wouldnt be suprised if they released a black swindle with a safari girl as Trailbreaker.

Most of the BTA series look set to be repaints only. Sunstreaker might be a yellow dead end, broadcast might be skidz with news channel deco all over, and alert most likely will have police deco (retooling for sirens?will there be sirens?) of cos, this is wat i wished for, and im pretty happy with the news, they have to be REAL FUGLY for me to not buy them =) but hey, i'll choose these over a red corvette anytime!

Just to clear some potential confusion that may be occuring:  even though the new WRX is called "alert," he's going to be a police car and not a "Red alert"-esque fire chief car.  (Depending on which Perfecture they chose, he may even have a paint job very similar to Prowl's).  We still might see a RSX/Integra repaint as the official "Red alert" at some point.

"alert" was the Japanese name of G1 Red alert.

Guys, who cares just sit back and enjoy the figures.  I call my Grimlock, GRIDLOCK (get it?!? 'Cause he's a car?!?! :tftongue ) I'm still going to call my alert, REDalert.  Dosen't change the coolness factor of him even if they do give him the "boys in blue" uniform.  :tftongue

I just pointed this out because I got the feeling that some people seemed to be under the impression that the WRX was going to get a "fire chief"-deco because it's name was "alert."

I can live with that. I'm surprised that this BTA line didn't include the BT version of swerve as they already have the head mold. Maybe Takara have fulfilled their chevy quota with banana tracks? How about these for potential sunstreakers, and broadcasts:

I'm crossing my fingers for the yellow and black trim for Sunstreaker.

But they might go with the Dodge preferred blue and white. Which I wouldn't mind.

I would have went with the White Mamba special edition for Red alert. :(

So if this is a side series, Could we still end up with Ironhide?

The blue and white is AWESOME! A perfect mirage if you ask me. I think someone did a dead end custom with that scheme. My custom red alert looks kind of like the custom I did from sideswipe, except with a red leather soft-top.

BT-17 Skids is still part of the "main" BT line.

Thanks. I remembered that today. Oh well. Wakka wakka wakka.
