No more statues from Palisades?

Recommended Posts

I liked the concept, but the things were too hard for me to acquire and those I could were insanely expensive for what they were.

A shame, but I won't loose sleep over it.

No real love lost here, but on the flipside, non-renewal of licensed products=decline of TF sales=decline in popularity=discontinuation.....

I don't think that the TF brand lends itself well to statues though... unlike a property like Star Wars/Trek, LotR, etc.... I just think it was a marketing misstep to begin with.

I agree as well.  Never even bought one.

I never bought one, but I do appriciate the work Palisades put into these statues. As a 'fan', I like the style they used, it's very detailed, and very eyecatching, plus they look very dynamic. They are detailed enough to fool you into thinking that they can actually transform. But, I never wanted one myself, I preferred to spend my money on TFs, rather than toys of TFs.

i have em all except for the exclusive (well i have magnus) and i love em ... look really nice ... i display all my TFormers anyway so the transforming ascpect doesn't matter to me . i just hope i can get my grubby hands on a megatron .

Yeah, the G1 toys are already bricks on their own, why bother with ones that are complete bricks?

Yeah, 'cause the G1 toys are TOTALLY killing the line right now...  :roll

Toys are toys, and the Palisaides statues/busts are pieces of art, not toys.

Mass produced pieces of art depicting more detailed representations of charachters that were originally based on toys, yes... but pieces of art, nonetheless.

Funny though... I don't recall them ever even thinking there would be a market for an Energon Prime statue... :schin

Due to the nature of TF toys as posable, tangible forms of...well, themselves...I can understand why the market for their statues is so limited,

I mean, with comic characters, you have a choice between one 4" fig, tons of great (bigger) statues, or busts.

When you already have MP Prime, or the Alts, what do you need the statues for?
