Looks like ebay/hasbro is finally laying down the hammer on prototypes.  This one plus all other Alt prototypes have been removed including Ironhide.  Yesterday I saw at least 3 prototypes (Ironhide, unpainted prowl, and painted prowl).  Now if you do a search you find none.  If you click on the above link and if you click on a link to the IH auction, you'll find the same message that it has been removed.

Seriously? I'm really not trying to pick a fight here, but what happened to this?:

 

ANYWAY, now that I've got that out of my system, let me say that an Alt Scion isn't something I'm against overall, I just don't like it as Ironhide.  As Skids, or even if this is who they had named "Swerve", it would have been fine.  But Ironhide is a charachter who needs a vehicle mode that mirrors his age and experience.  The above mentioned Dodge Sprinter would have been good, or a Dodge Ram or Ford F-150 would have been even better.  (Throw a shell on the back to retain the overall G1 appearance, and bam.  Perfect Atternator Ironhide.  Then make it a tow truck as a Hoist repaint... :mwahah )  But a Scion Xb is a vehicle that implies "young" just by it's pop-culture status, let alone it's "target market" demographic.

Did he just all of the sudden grow on you? I love the new mold, but I wasn't about to fork over $60 for it.

Hey, unpainted, molded in black, could be anybody.  Add some Krylon Fusion and some TLC, and it would have been Skids in a heartbeat. :thumb
