I throw my vote to Kaye as well.  Welker was good for the time, but as I've gotten older, I don't see Welker's Megatron as being a charasmatic/calculating military mastermind.  Welker's felt more like like a bully, Kaye's feels more like a full rounded character (heck, when I read War Within, Simon's writing was making me place Kaye's voice instead of Welker's)

I'd have no problem with either, though, but Kaye is a personal favorite.

There should be no reason for freddy kruger to be megatrons voice get the originally guy he did a voice in megas xlr.

really...I wouldn't mind having a shot at it...

hey my postabout englund voicing megs was just a thought all right and i really think he could do a decent deep and powerful type of voice if he could do it a bit deep and scratchy like.

to each his own. i figure either frank welker or frank langella who voiced skelator in the masters of the univers movie could pull off a good megatron if david kaye or welker dont get the role

well, you gotta remember prime also has a deep voice with a fanatical tone. plus, it was 90% similar to ironhide's

How come the originally guy voice of megatron won't do it anymore?

Alan Rickman. Just finished watching the extended cut of RH: POT, and when he's sinsiter...boy! Is he sinister.

Samuel L. Jackson. :P I kid, I kid. That guy gets into everything it seems. Though it would be amusing, I doubt it could work on anything other than a parody level.

My vote goes to Welker. I liked his Megatron. Though it depends on what style of Megatron we're going to get. If he's a brutal killing machine, then Welker, as his Megs is a little less "intelligent" and more of a warrior. If we're getting a scheming evil bastard that can, when need be, kick your arse then I go for Kaye as his Megs was much more of a thinking Megatron.

Leonard Nimoy?  maybe...... except that Mr Bay wont consider using the original voice actors.

are we talking about the same guy, as the one i'm thinking of wants cullen and welker to be prime and megs

that would be because peter cullen did the voice for ironhide as well as prime. (welker did the voice for soundwave a constructicon (maybe scavenger i forget) and wheelie)

Maybe Willem Dafoe as Megatron? He was brilliant as the Green Goblin, why not Meg's?
