Sorry about being teh n00b, but who the hell is Hardtop?! I can't find any Galaxy Force equivalent and i don't remember seeing him in any of the episodes thus far..

US-only mold (i.e. non-show character). Japan only gets him as a "USA Edition" (i.e. US toy in US packaging with an added sticker), exclusively available from e-Hobby.

Chances are that Armorhide (the blue Basic truck from wave 3) will be the second "USA Edition" in GF.

Isn't the artwork-face of the green Minicon very reminiscent of BW Optimus Primal?

These new packages are pretty nifty. I also think that for the most part they've reduced in size especially for the basic/deluxe TFs. :thumb

Hmm. Thanks-- good to know. It doesn't seem to be anything too crazy cool... just filler, no? I wonder if it was just an old mold that they didn't use in a previous line and then just added a force chip slot.

I gotta say, non-cartoon figures never did it for me, and I don't think this guy is any exception.

Someone said a while back that he looked like a remold of Energon Sledge/Bonecrusher, and I have to agree. At the very least, his transformation has to be directly influenced by them.

Many of the pieces look identical to it. I believe it's just a very heavy remold.
