I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they said they planned on using almost every mold twice (at least). But yeah, it's almost a given. A repaint is essentially 100% profit, as the mold's already been created. And they sell... so it makes logical sense to milk them as they can.

Repaints when done right can be a real treat..when done wrong they just take up shelf space (looking at you Treadbolt)

Anywho, personally, I'm a repaint whore. I like'em. Course, I'm also a *fan* of some of the weirder color schemes...

I'm fed up with ugly repaints.

Well, I agree with most of the list... Unicron is pretty good IMO, as is Tidal Wave.

 

Will there be a repaint of the Energon series? I think it's pretty much a given; I'm looking forward to some of them, actually.

I would have preferred all of them be the same mold repainted in appropriate colors and have the Skywarp mold in G1 Thrust colors.

 

or

 

Leave Starscream and Skywarp as is, and remold parts of Thundercracker including the head.
