I like those professional comments towards TFW 2005. Even if I didn't know the story behind that, that's simply unprofessional. :roll

And we have a "professional" director who's known for plotless action garbage doing the movie.

I feel great :tflaugh

I don't see why, he's only stating his opinion on the matter which he's more than entitled to do, granted if he said "TFormers/TFans" instead of "TFW2005" I would prob be fuming but even then he'd be more than entitled to express how he feels....

[rant]You do realize that Murphy hasn't been exactly professional at all since his board opened up to TF Movie discussion.  I've seen many comments from him that I consider to be unprofessional.  The fact that people are pissing and moaning over a comment he made about TFW2005 seems ridiculous to me, especially when he has put down many people at his own board for stupid questions (or opinions and whatever else), not to mention the way he just generally talks and his use of avatars in the past.  He should be treating every TF site with respect, even if he has a grudge against one.  He should be trying to unite the fanbase, instead he's trying to split it.  The first three sentences in his post weren't necessary for him to say at all.  I fear for how he will be like if he is at BotCon this fall.

Oh look, he's calling everyone 'stooges' in the beginning of his post.  Where's the pissing and moaning about that?[/rant]

Bit slow to post this news, glad someone beat me to it.

Dunno why anyone would take offense to his mention of TFW2005 but ignore the posts from mods there refering to every single poster on DM.net as "cretins". If there's a bitterness between the two boards, I doubt the majority of us give a damn. And, yeah, you expect Don's posts to be "professional"? Since when was that ever true of him?

He's professional in his work, dealing with TF fans seems like more of a hobby. He could just not update at all, but I'm glad he does.

I suspect his comments on "all the mudslinging and madness and fan sh*t" are actually to do with the hysterical wailing that's accompanied the brief interviews Bay did with people earlier in the week. If you DON'T think the accompanying fan hysteria about Transformers being branded a "family" movie was madness, I question your judgement...

"Stooges" was a label applied by the first person to be banned from Don's boards and was quickly pervereted and accepted as a badge of pride by the regular posters there. It's good to be a stooge.

As regards Bay, good to have final confirmation, although I don't expect it to make the slightest difference to progress til Bay's completed The Island.

The Comicon stuff sounds cool too. Just wish I could go.

How dare he call them on the crap they sling at him!!!

To be honest, I'm sick of the crap flinging between boards entirely. It's one thing to call Don an ass if you think he's an ass,  (and many have), but the whole attitude some take of describing everyone who associates with him in less than glowing terms is less acceptable.

Nevermore's argument with Don was between him and Don and I don't really see why other boards have got involved.

HOWEVER...

Back on subject, now Bay's finally comfirmed, what does everyone think to the choice?

And this is why I have avoided movie discussion for the past few months.

That arrogant ass has managed to rile the fandom more than anything a poster at TFW2005, Seibertron, TFans, Allspark, or Transfandom could have ever done.

Over what? A movie that probably won't be able to remotely please a tenth of the fandom and has thus far only acted to divide and create even MORE interboard hatred which is far from necessary.  Especially over a line of Powerglideing toys.

(As for the "cretin" remark, that was from ONE mod in ONE thread (from what I could find), and most of the others have been remarkably civil in regards to this whole thing)

As for Bay, I'll wait until I see "The Island" before making a judgement, Bay without Bruckheimer might be a blessing.

The Pro-Bay/Anti-Bay war was waged here awhile ago. Those that are optimistic see a great action film with a distinct look, those that are pessimistic see "dumb" action movie coming down the pipeline.
