The new show supposedly starts on July 2nd at 7p.m.  However, the only confirmed fact is that it WILL be on Cartoon Network.

Did you read my post?  If you want, I can break it down into more managable pieces.  I said I am "fairly confident I won't enjoy it".  Want to know where that comes from?  Here are the reasons :

 

a) I generally dislike anime. Both for the style of comic relief and the long, meandering plots.

b) I generally dislike CGI cartoons. 

c) add a&b together and you may understand why the look of a show mixing the twoi together would be less than appealing to me.

d) What we know of the GF storyline so far leads me to believe it will be another story similar to Energon.  Someone wants to bring Unicron back, must gather ______ to create the one thing that can stop it from happening, blah blah blah.

 

Keeping in mind also that this is my opinion.  Feel free to have one of your own.  Even if it doesn't agree with anyone else's. 

 

As for me, I'm not going to watch a show that has all the signs of being something I would not enjoy at all just because it's a TF show.  And, like I said at the end there, I will likely try a few episodes just to see what it's like.

The thing that gets me about anime is that they spend TOO MUCH time talking about what they're going to do, than actually doing it. I've seen so much of it, it's become so stale and cliche to me .. but that can be said about Transformers in general as of late.

 

I've heard about the over all plotline myself.. some character development.. my worst fears realized.  :redface Nothing's really changed.

I was watching an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh not to long ago.. somethin roomies were watchin, so I partaked. All they did was yack back and forth between 'HAHAHa Now you will loose your life points' 'I've beaten you before, get a clue buddy' Not this time, I'm more powerful with evil magical stuff' 'Oh noes, you can be serious! Think about what your doing man!' 'No! You will die now!' 'Not unless I stop you!' 'Hah! but you can't, for my cards are more powerful now than before. YOU WILL DIE' 'We'll see about that!' 'I don't think so, it's curtains for you!' 'Not on my watch, have at thee!' -Cut to a commercial- Then were watching party B go through the exact same conversation with another badguy card dude, then back to party A, who are still yacking back and forth about what they're going to do, repeating what has already been established for the billionth time, Then they finally look like they're going to do something more than just stand there, commercial, closing credits.

 

I really can't take that stuff seriously. Thats the kind of thing I meant..

 

There's a difference between good anime and bad anime.. heck, I like anime that's straight talking sometimes.
